These things are awsome!!!
they are like mini computers, like a PDA, but simpler.
I make a bunch of programs for my calc, and eventualy when I get my hosting, I will put my calc software and other cool stuff on there. If anybody wants they can put up the source code for their calc stuff, and you can just copy and paste it into any TI Graph link software maker.

I love my TI-83 plus.... the TI-84s are getting even closer to being like mini computers. haha with graphic calculators, algebra 2 is always so much more fun

Yah, I was really upset when I learned that I couldn't use my TI83plus in college, was so used to it all through high school...

Some Casio's I think, can do symbolic calculations, (if you know the program: Maple)
Now those are awesome, plug in the equation and get the answer

I have one of those ti 84 silvers and it is awsome. At grapghs twice as fast as the 83 plus. It also has alot more space for games

I used to love my TI-83 SE. I had like 40 games, 4 scientific programs, a calendar, and notepad, and even a spell checker

That thing was worth every penny I paid for it. But now that I am in college, I really dont have much time to play during class anymore , but its great to have in calculus though.

Lemme tell ya something: I have the HP 49G calculator... you just dont buy it, cause it doesn't include any manual or anything. You will have to buy some books to learn how to properly use it

I always had the impression that the HP calculators are used more by professionals who need the calculator for "real life" stuff, like calculating phone line tension and crazy calculus stuff like that... and that TI calculators are more geared towards learning. That may be changing since HP came out with a calculator that actually steps through the solution of the problem symbolically - that's a pretty nice Ooooh factor
I have a TI 89, and have used in the past the 65, 86, and 92 at various times. All of those calculators were eventually passed to my siblings and I took my 89 to college.
The 89 is pretty much Maple in a PDA. Good stuff.
