Hello everyone!

I am designing my first website and its almost done. But still to complete it and make it look more professional I need some good PHP scripts that I can fully customize according to my needs. Basically I need a good PHP rating script, a PHP script that can create, login and manage users everything related to my website users and lastly a PHP Guestbook Script. I have done a lot of googling and also found a lot of scripts and now get confused which script to choose. Because I am new to all this so I think you guys can help me in choosing the right script for my site. I don't mind in giving powered by links which almost every free php script ask to do.

There is no one script to do it all sorry. If you would like many features then consider using a content management system like joomla or wordpress. Otherwise you will need to create your magical script yourself because there is none that exist.

In your case, here's what i would do: Find a user management system (e.g. PHP Users). Figure out how it works and how you can use it to your advantage. Then build yourself other systems (e.g. guest books, rating system—these can be done very quickly) that make use of the user management system that you found.

There are plenty of site with lots of small php scripts. you won't able to find any site that gives you all the necessary scripts. and if you're learning php then you can benefit from php frameworks like cakephp, cdeigniter. these frameworks can help you if you're interested in creating web applications. Other than web apps, small scripts are available on plenty of script sites. like gscripts, Scriptdungeon, phpjunkyard.

It will be hard to find anything to do all that which will be fully customisable ad intergratable into your current website.
I have always found that its difficult to put in an effective login system after finishing the design of a site, buut thats just me.

Search around on google, there are hundereds of scripts for things like ratings (althgough they are easy to make even for people with virtually no knowledge of PHP)

There are login scripts out there. But if you want it exactly the way you want, your best bet is to do it yourself....

Alternatively, you could use a content management system. A good one will have everything you want, but you will have to remake your website to a certain extent...

Hi guys! It is nice to see that you are helping me in sorting out my problem...well thats the specialty of the trap17 community...isn't it!

Now coming on the topic it is now clear that there is no such PHP script exist that can perform all the functions which I can include in my website and it is also not possible now to redesign my website in content management system like joomla as I have said earlier also that it is almost done. And, also, I do not have much knowledge about PHP, I only know SQL,HTML,DHTML,CSS so creating such a magical script by myself in PHP is not possible at this moment however I can do this after going through the tutorials and learning PHP which of course will take a lot of time which is not possible for me at this moment because of my busy schedule. However still if someone knows where I can get such tutorials especially tutorials telling how to create rating scripts and guestbook scripts, please inform me I will go through them whenever I will get time.

So the only way left for me is to get the separate scripts for user rating, guestbook and user management... right!...which I can include in my website. So now can any one give me suggestions which is the right script for me, which script I should choose as I am really confused.

They're right, livepcportal. There is no written PHP scripts fully capable to your needs, you have to write them for yourself. I may provide you a tutorial, http://php.about.com/od/finishedphp1/Step_By_Steps.htm, for reference. But I do prefer you read the PHP Basics part of that tutorial first.

While you may find some tutorials which will help you to customise someone elses scripts, its best to learn the languauge rather than attempt to understand someone elses programming...
the PHP you would need for user rating and a guestbook is very minimal, and is mainly sone in SQL... However, if you want a spam free, guestbook, and a rating system difficult to manipulate, you should look for a good pre made script.

There are numerous script libraries where you can get scripts for free, even some hosted incase you dont have access to MySQL or PHP on your server.

Just search for it on a good search engine.
