Purpose: Make firefox work without consuming a lot of ram, only a few undreds of KB's.
Version: 1.1
Licence: Freeware
As we all know, firefox users, firefox takes a lot of memory, of RAM to be exact, and with that, it consumes pratically all the computer recources because lets face it, without memory/RAM, you would freak out for sure, but on the other had, firefox is the way of browsing i a more secure environement, of course there is the google chrome now, which is a lot more faster the firefox in loading, opening web pages, et cetera but, that is because it does not have support for a single plugin, ad that is the reason why firefox takes a lot of memory.
To fix our problem, because we must keep using firefox nonetheless, this ew technology came to help us big time, it already has incrdible results, and lot of popular download websites, editors, reviewers and visitors said it works 100% as it says it does, check it out if you do not beleave so easy:

I have Firefox running all day and it takes ~165 MB of RAM, but I don't care because I've got lots of RAM..
For people using older computers or having less ram, I would encourage to use old software, why don't you use Firefox 1 or Opera 7 and not the latest versions which require much more resources.
One more thing, in the end of the installed, it asks you to install a webgoradio toolbar with a check box, uncheck it, do not install it of course, it is advertizing/ads, which the tool is supported by, this tool is very good, but they did make the installer with some advertizing stuff, but no virus, spyware or trojan horses, i have norton iternet security 2009, pctools spyware doctor, adaware, windows defender and trojan remover, so i am preety secure along with my knowledge and experience of more then 10 years, but i could be wrong, which i do not thik so.
Go to the installed folder, here:
C:\Program Files\Firefox Optimizer
or
C:\Programs\Firefox Optimizer
Then execute Firefox Ultimate Optimizer (Firefox Ultimate Optimizer.exe, scan it before if you want too), before you open firefox, then open firefox.
If will see an icon of the tool on your destop toolbar, and you can see the tool in action on the "ctr+alt+delete" task manager, and check now how much RAM it takes, you will be amazed at least.
Before this tool, firefox took always undreds of MB's of RAM, now, at this moment, i am running firefox with 2.640kb (2.5 MB), sometimes 5/6 MB's, no more then that, this tool is always optimizng the firefox, and i have dozens of add-on's, 1 heavy theme, black and with plenty of graphics, BELEAVE IT!
I always test the tools i share here saint michael, just share your problem next time, i will help you out no problem.
One more thing, 3 of the most popular websites to get freeware and shareware can not be wrong, not the editors, members, reviewers and visitors, not all of them at once, it can not be, besides, i tested it, trust me saint michael, you now me on the freebies forum for a long time.
It seems to be available only for windows also.
doesn't do a thing for my Ubuntu install of Firefox 3.0.5.
But Firefox is not a space hog on this laptop.
It is using only 96 Megs and less than 15% (9 to 15%) CPU with 4 Tabs open. (2Gigs RAM)
I am concerned now because on virustotal.com, the best antivirus do not report this as malware, which are:
mcafee, symantec, trendmicro, avast, et cetera.
Perhaps it is, perhaps is not, i am well protected in my pc, and with the security tools i have, not one report it as malware, not even my norton internet security 2009, nonetheless, the tool does what it say it does, i check it in the task manager, and with other programs to analyze the application behavior.

*virustotal uses 35 antivirus to test the files you upload, when there are only a few warnings, it is a false positive, sometimes it is not.
Well I tested it and it surely makes a difference. I'll be keeping it as it indeed improves the speed of my computers browsing capability via Firefox. Currently I'm using Firefox 3.6, with 256mb of RAM on Windows XP SP3, using a Pentium 4 2.66ghz processer. I use Tuneup Utilities 2010, for all other system optimization in its "turbomode", and have found this sweet lil download actually speeds Firefox up on loading pages and tab usage which is great. Startup is where I see the most trouble with Firefox 2+, as FF2 and above just seems to hang on startup up to several minutes. And it seems as though that 80% of the time it will only start up faster by going into the task manager and setting Firefox's CPU priority to "high" or at least "above normal" Hopefully this app will improve that situation as well. Although, I think that the slow startup is caused by the reading of extensions and as such, causes the hang up. Does anybody know if while this process is going if it is scanning and testing each extension? It would be nice to be able to disable any testing phase of extensions during the browsers startup, and only allow the browser to scan to see if they are present and not actually test them. Maybe perhaps this is what the software is actually doing.Because there is no explanation by the developer explaining what or how his program is actually doing what it does.
