Has anyone got any good site on free top-class domains like .info (I heard that someone
gives them out for free). anyone know where i can get one for free if so please tell me the link :D because I dont want to refer people but I wouldnt mind posting in forums :rolleyes:

I think it would be impossible to get a totally free .com/co.uk/.net/.org/.biz

or if there is any good Domain Forwarders such as .cjb.net/.co.nr etc. but I wouldnt recomend .tk it's just not worth putting all these ads on your site (Ad at the start advertising .tk and goes away in 10 seconds or you can choose to skip it)

Please, Please tell me Good Free Domains :lol:

Is there any domain for free that you can actually host it with Trap17 like the free domains like www.something.something ?

is it called DNS or something.

Like When you have Registered a .com domain you can host it with trap17 is there any free domains that u will be able to host with trap17 ? :rolleyes:

You can't host a domain like how you host your webpages...
You can only register a domain from a domain registrar...
The domain registrar is the want who sells or provides the domain for use..

They host it with special scripts, or rather to say, because they are the registrars, so they have the domains to provide...
It's not really the term "hosting"..

Ive found this site were you can register a Domain for free I think ?

http://www.eu.org im trying to register a domain but im stuck at Name Servers can anyone help, :S Im a begginer at Domains, lol, ive really only used Domain Fowarders and sub-domains :lol: Does Trap17 give you nameservers or something or what :rolleyes: I dont know how to Register Nameservers, I actually dont know how to register a domain :lol:

well trap17 has his own nameservers that are NS1.TRAP17.COM and NS2.TRAP17.COM when you register a domain and have DNS control then u have to point the dns to NS1.TRAP17.COM and NS2.blah blah o.o is that what where asking?

LoL Ok those aren't really domains because they are shrotings of the real one so tehy are called URL shorteners and they bite because if you have a site that soem one needs to log in to it messes it up and they only say the users info not let them log-in these are great for html sites but any thing that has php log ins will not work just so all you gaming clan and pople who use php-nuke and other big php stemyes it WILL NOT WORK!! but hey they where good for noobs who only use html.

URL Shortners, you just register, on this EU.ORG Thing its just like registering a dot com but its registering a uk.eu.org domain, lol, bit long aint it so itll come out like this


www.yourname.uk.eu.org there is lots of domains to choose from such as
www.yourname.us.eu.org I think :rolleyes:

So if it was a URL Shortner why would it be asking for Techical Info and Admin Info and Personal info and Nameservers ? So stick that up your pipe and smoke it.

Does anyone know, "Where I can register a free domain", it can be any extension such as www.something.ANYTHING

Please can you help because that EU.ORG thing I cant register and I don't think you can register to it :rolleyes: Has anyone ever registered a domain there and is it free ?

Remember I want to Register a Free Domain, because .com/.net/.org/.info etc. You need to pay for ! :lol: I dont have a credit card so I cannot register a domain (If I had a credit card I would have www.johnmeikle.co.uk if its not tooken :lol: )

I got a free .com domain from a website called freestarter.com it has to be for a business and you have to call them and listen to thier sales pitch for (overpriced) advertising package but it will save you ten bucks so it is more than worth it

Oh that sounds pretty good, im thinking of ringing them now, but is this 100% free, and no hidden fees? and btw, how long does this call take to get a free domain name?

100% free just listen to the pitch. When I called it took about 15 minutes mostly because I was way friendly and talked alot so it doen't need to take yhat long especially because the advertising package is very expensive for not gitting much in return.(The starter package is 50$ a month for a guaranteed 28 hits a month) They even offered free hosting but I didn't take them up on it because I was sure it would come with some kind of catch and I believe it was limited to some kind of template based thing anyway :rolleyes:

http://www.freedomain.co.nr is the best free domain hosting, but it won't let anyone sign up for one anymore. This is what it says everytime i try to sign up for one:
New signups are temporary disabled. There maybe several possible reasons:

(1) We are just doing some system maintenance at this time, and new signups will be available soon, probably in 3-4 hours.

(2) We do a larger maintenance at the moment. In this case it may take up to several weeks. Please visit our News Page for the updates. Thanks

Hi there,

I have also experienced .tk . It was nice tilll they start poping up thoes annoying banners. It was a great combination of Brinkster and .tk but unfortunately both have not started up with pop ups and ad.

I don't think you have free domains anymore.

tried signing up with them but they require you to put the link of their site on your page, not so cool for me (i know, I know it's free).

I am now running with uni.cc, let's see what is the catch for them.

This .tk and other stuff are just time loosing, you are better with subdomain then that.They are just redirects, they open your subdomain in frame.
So if you use .tk you are just slowing your pages.
You can't link deep into your site it dosent't work.
Also no real use in search engines.

Thats no free domain...its just domain forwarding. You type that in and it send you to the same webpage. You don't have any DNS control either. -.-;

If you want a proper free domain site, one which offers proper tlds (.info, .com etc etc), then I suggest you use realwebtalk.com.
