Out For A Week.

Just to let you guys know I am out for about a week, I am currently in florida in a closed resort which has internet but you have to pay for it so my time on this forum will probably be little to none. I will try to get on as often as I can, but I can make no promises.

It would be great if a moderator that actively takes part in graphics can help for a week with the SOTW and Tennis, as well as the rest of the forums. Thanks!

Design New Forum's Logo

Design the new logo for this forum. Your entry should be in .png, .jpg or .jpeg. I would prefer to be in .png.

You know the dimension of the image size by downloading form the forum's logo.

The current logo is by me just to replace the default logo. You don't have to stay to the similar style. This is open and we're open to your own design.

New Template Design For Gfxtrap.com

Hello Trap17 members,

It is time to reinvent our T17 GFX section, once more.

Please visit, http://gfxtrap.com and suggest a new template for our site.

What we would like to do is get RSS feed from our forum and translate that into HTML page for majority of GFXTrap.com Keep it simple. There's no need for complex menus. You can get the RSS fee for the graphics site.

Basic information to be included in our GFXTrap.com site are:

Introduction
Latest topics feed from RSS to be shown in the main page
Link to T17 GFX Crew
T17 GFX Crew bios
other information I failed to mention

This site should be automated. That's why we're trying to keep it simple. This portal site leads back to our forum for discussion and interaction. So keep that in mind when you design menu and links. We are looking for clean design that can be integrated with CMS and RSS.

Gfxtrap Hits 100,000 Downloads

We finally did it, 1 year 3 months 3 day's it took us to reah our next mile stone in render downloads, although I hae since retired from render collecting I still post it around to help others out and what not,

Of course the most popular render pack is the game pack with over 11,000 downloads, just remember to pass this around and what not.

Gfxtrap Hits 75,000 Downloads

Since i had some free time on my hand i check out my file front account and it has hit 75,000+ downloads. It been a year since i uploaded the first pack, though i myself stopped collecting renders. Anyone that want to upload render packs that they collected give me a shout out and i can load them up for your or what not.

Don't forget to keep spreading the links around and what not.

Killer News For The Gfxtrap Main Site

Well I suddenly got a inspiration to design and instead of going through the head of designing the site I used a template from a guy that I know.

But besides that here is what has been done so far. Right now its mostly cosmetic in terms of adding our content and stuff.

so im taking my sweet time with the content and stuff also on top of that with school going on as well. So it gives me time to think about the design and what to put into it and of course before adding any new pages to the site make sure the first page is completely set up.

right now using my site to test everything out to make sure not to break the design and what not.

Gfxtrap.com Has Hit 50,000+ Downloads

It will be a year now since I hosted the first download pack of renders for people to use in their sigs, templates, wallpapers and more. of course on other sites I had many fights about it and what not, but I guess when you have renders that are easier to download instad of spending hours saving them on individual pages it would make sense.

So thanks for Downloading them and what not also if you have a bunch of renders that you have made and have a pack in zip or rar let me know and I upload them to the site for other people to enjoy.

well after some time coding the template thanks to true the main page to the new template is up its a bit more colorful and user friendly up to what has been done to it so far hopefully as the days go by it can even be more dynamic and stuff.

What I like about it is that its a bit more colorful then our current template and make it more dynamic and forum friendly.

Gfxtrap Sotw News-offering Prizes

Well first of all I like to thank OpaQue for letting us do this. so a shoutout goes to him and the hard work hes put and the hard work the gfx crew has put in as well.

But on to the GOOD NEWS!! we are now offering hostng credits for Prizes!!!

Right now its only going to be for the first place winner this week But Starting next week we are going for 1st 2nd and 3rd place finishes.

If all goes well, we might add other prizes to it. (no money prizes)

Also This is going to be followed very strict like, so here are the following rules.

1. Hosted or above will get the full credit amount, if you are a regular member without a hosting account we will verify your credit count and award you up to 30 credits (thats the basic hosting package). If your past 30 credits you will not recieve anymore due to nature of your hosting credits are reduce when opening a new hosting account with us.

2. No cheating, we can spot gfx talent that people display. We go by the honor system on this forum so we will know that you will do the right thing and make them yourself. If cheating is common like a cold then we will terminate the prizes.

Sorry about the lack of updates to the site people been busy but the site has been updated in small portsions mostly our affiliates page and basic forum stuff as well.

SOTW Winners has been updated to SOTW #31 winner
SOTW Multi champs has been updated to include 6x SOTW Winner in which Avalon and truefusion are our first people to get there.

Well the the affiliate set up has been changed for the site in terms of how to sign up and then the admin stuff so it will be easier to get them upload in a hurry as well when we get them.

Now for stat info

We have over 10,000 pageviews
almost 40,000 downloads at saint-michael filefront account
need 5 more affiliates to hit our 100 affiliate mark
and we have 22 sites join in our top site list as well.

This is a sincere request to all GFXTrap members to kindly upload all your sigs to Your gallery and post a link to it in your signiture.

Lately I have seen many images on Trap17 which have been replaced by things like "Out of Bandwidth by ImageShack/Photobucket"

Additionally, To ease uploading of files, I have ACTIVATED the upload files feature and I would request members to please use that feature to upload your sigs.

GFXTrap.com is now equipted with easy interface using CuteNews to update the site with current news and SOTW winners.

Who is responsible for maintaining up-to-date news and STOW winner announcement at the site?

All current Trap17 GFX Crew members who are willing to participate

Access GFXTrap.com update site and enter your login and password
There's no need to add new announcement. Edit the appropriate titles using correct information/image link
Check the main page GFXTrap.com and make sure that it is appearing as it should be.

due to problems i am having i cannot at this time update the website reqularly I will let you know what duties you need to perform on the website this is will be a temp/permenant postion depending on my situation and what OpaQue wants to do with the site as well I have a few names that do come to mind but I will take volunteers as well.

S&m Render Package Service Reaches 18k Downloads

In less then 7 months graphic designers have download the render packs that I upload at filefront 18,000+ times

and these are the top package that have surpassed the 1,000 mark in order of the most downloads.

Render Pack 2 has been downloaded 1,728 times.

Render Pack 1has been downloaded 1,234 times.

Brush Pack 1 has been downloaded 1,194 times.

Render Pack 3 has been downloaded 1,034 times.

So again I like to thank the people who have downloaded them and used them to the fullest extent.
