This made firefox run about 4 times quicker on my ISDN connection.

1. Type "about:config" in the adress field.
2. Set the value of network.http.pipelining to "true".
3. Set the value of network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to "100".
4. Set the value of network.http.proxy.pipelining to "true"
5. Set the value of nglayout.initialpaint.delay to "0"

Taken from http://www.computerb...g/about150.html

Before you change the setting, please browse this site. It said that you need to make a new integer named "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set it to "0".

Right hand click at any place, then select new > integer. Then type nglayout.initialpaint.delay . Lastly set it to zero then closed all firefox. Then open firefox again...

Confusing?
