I hear SP3 is out on the newspaper, but I cant find it anywhere to download. If anybody have a link for SP3 download please let me know, thanks in advance!

Well yeah, sp2 is not "released" for official download yet, but I was hoping sp3 would maybe on bit torrent or something. I checked on suprnova.org, but no luck.

I believe what you read about SP3 may not be true, as I just did a search for "service pack 3 windows xp" and it came up with SP1 and SP2.. I'll check the internet some tonight, but I sincerely doubt I'll find much.

But don't be discouraged, maybe you know something I don't? You know what I mean?

I don't think its up for download yet. I even doubt it exists. Sp2 has just been released not long ago.

Sp3 will be a long way down the road, maybe 6 months to a year. Which newspaper did you read that from. Can you give a reference?

yeah, I live in sacramento, and a friend pointed it out on the SacBee talking about releasing the SP3 in a few days, and that was like 2 weeks ago. Ive been looking for it but I cant find any information about it. I know I saw it saying service pack 3... if everybody is saying its not out yet, then its probably my bad. Sorry.

I think it shold be something like XP2 if it was released about 2 weeks ago.

Maybe is a stupid question but is not need to close for that, the SP2 is just out so seen a SP3 in the street (still if is a early beta) is very imposible and maybe is not in the microsoft plans, the problems was that that guys that write the article in the newspaper really don't know nothing about computers and is easy to mistake is this situations.

first this is BS, no plans on sp3 made public
second there is a less likely change of sp3, because of LONGHORN.
third this is another way to get more post count say there is no sp3, or is there really a sp3.
forth sp2 came out recently by windows update. and long time ago by manual.

100% sure there isn't a sp3, and i even doubt if there will ever be one. Could be that thay release Windows Codename Longhorn before they had finished sp3. I don't care btw, cause sp2 sucks bigtime... All that protection etc. It just sucks bigtime...
