There is a new virus which installs the virus on your computer, then send the virus to everyone who is online through MSN. If you get a message containing a link to a .pif file, DO NOT CLICK IT!

Hope this saves you :D

I've seen two variations of this virus already and have alerted everyone on my network here.

I think they send with the opening line

"omg this is funny"

Just be careful

Yes, that's what I got! It was a link from someone I knew well, so I clicked it without thinking... *stupid mistake*

haha I think one of my friends is infected with that because I was talking
to her and then all of the suddent she went away and her away message
showed and said "SEE NUDE PICS OF ME AND MY FRIENDS AT THE BEACH
JUST CLICK HERE" so I said wtf is that and she dident know what it was
so I downloaded and used a virus tester on it and it detected as a msn
virus but the weird thing was SHE WAS USING AIM!!! so somhow its
spreading through aim too!

There is another one going round to. It talks about your friend having a new smiley or something, and click here to see it.

Watch out for that too.

This is a good reason not to use MSN. It's got the worst security of any IM. Of course, it's never good to open any files with extensions that don't exist.

Which do you hear more about: virii spread through MSN or virii spread through AIM?

Which do you hear about more? AIM being crap or MSN being crap? It's your own fault if you accepted it... I admit I accepted it, and it was a stupid thing to do, but AIM IS CRAP!

To see if you have the virus, bring up task manager and check processes:

If you have anything that looks like **.pif running, close it and delete the executable file.

Does anyone know the damage level of this?
