Ok, here is a VERY basic zoom effect. Very nice to look at and very easy to do. I dont have a prog to capture screenshots atm to ill just give you the steps.

1. Open Photoshop

2. Create a new document approx. 400x100 in size.

3. Go to Filter - Render - Clouds

4. Go to Filter - Pixelate - Mezzotint ::: Use Long Strokes

5. Go to Filter - Blue - Radial Blur ::: Ammount "100" Quality "Best" Blur Method "Zoom"

6. Press Ctrl+U and colorize to your prefered colour

7. Put some text on it

8. Show it off to all of your friends :(

Yes, that one isnt the best example though (not your fault, everytime you do it it ramdomises the warp pattern)

Everyone! This tutorials is VERY customisable. With the step:

4. Go to Filter - Pixelate - Mezzotint ::: Use Long Strokes
You can change the settings. Short Strokes works really well (probably more so than long strokes).

If you have found out something neat while customising your work then post it here!
