Blast Tutorial

Open Adobe Photoshop make a new document with these settings:

Width: 400
Height: 400
Resolution: 72
Mode: RGB colour
Content: Transparent

filter > Render > clouds.. you should have this:

http://iski.uni.cc/i...ials/blast1.gif

filter > Sketch > Chrome with these settings:

http://iski.uni.cc/i...ials/blast3.gif

You should now have something like this:

http://iski.uni.cc/i...ials/blast2.gif

filter > Blur > Radial Blur with these settings:

http://iski.uni.cc/i...ials/blast4.gif

You should now have something like this:

http://iski.uni.cc/i...ials/blast5.gif

filter > Stylize > Glowing Edges with these settings:

http://iski.uni.cc/i...ials/blast6.gif

You should now have something like this:

http://iski.uni.cc/i...ials/blast7.gif

filter > Blur > Radial Blur with these settings:

http://iski.uni.cc/i...ials/blast4.gif

You now should have something like this:

http://iski.uni.cc/i...ials/blast8.gif

filter > Change Colour ( Ctrl + u ) with any settings but I used these:

http://iski.uni.cc/i...ials/blast9.gif

You should now have something like this:

http://iski.uni.cc/i...als/blast10.gif

Now you can leave it here or go a little further to get what I think is a better result.

Ok now select all ( ctrl + a )

Copy ( ctrl + c )

Paste ( ctrl + v )
move to top left corner
Paste ( ctrl + v )
move to top right corner
Paste ( ctrl + v )
move to bottom left corner
Paste ( ctrl + v )
move to bottom right corner..

merge the layers you just moved into one ( ctrl + e )
You should now have something like this:

http://iski.uni.cc/i...als/blast11.gif

now change layer style to lighten! you get something like this:

http://iski.uni.cc/i...als/blast12.gif

filter > blur > radial blur with these settings:

http://iski.uni.cc/i...ials/blast4.gif

you should get something like this:

http://iski.uni.cc/i...als/blast13.gif

now this doesn't look so good.. so were going to change the colour of layer 2

Change it to a nice red.. I got this:

http://iski.uni.cc/i...als/blast14.gif

Here is the first one I made.. only I kept to blue ; )
