I just typed in a site, and it looks like it's a great place to meet pen pals: http://penpals.com/. I remember that my sister had one, but I forgot where she found her's....

Have fun!

Whoa, pen pals! We're out of the Dark Ages, I thought... LOL Just kidding.

If you're looking for blog buddies, I think there's a Trap17 Blog Project going on, if I'm not wrong... Uh, but I forget the address...

I've been ahving a search on google, and alot of Penpal/InternetPal sites require a fee, but these ones seemed ok - though I didn't look into them in a lot of detail:

www.interpals.net/

www.penpalsnow.com/

www.penpals.net/

www.freepenfriends.com/

www.easypenpals.com/

Hope these have been of moderate use, I can have a bigger search if these are rubbish.

Bye for now

you could always ask on forums that you participate at. I had a penpal service membership once. it realyl didn't work. there were lots of people but they weren't mostly daily emailers. all i got was like one reply and i replied and that was it. they were gone. lol.

The best pen pals and online friendship site on the web in my opinion is CyberFriends located at http://www.cyberfriends.com. I have been a member for a couple of years and have made many genuine friends. This is the only community site where you will find decent and real members without any vulgar, rude or hateful content. Good luck making online friends...

If you want a blog site, I'm a member of Nutang. It requires an invite code in order to sign up, but I can send you one. The members are very friendly and it's a great community!

Have you tried such things as networking sites

like www.bebo.com

www.myspace.com

and even www.friendsreunited.com

That way you can have your 'real life' friends added and also meet other people.

i have accounts with both but that is purely to promote my template site AKA piczo dedicated to my daughter as it has a very important petition link on it to save braille, and to also help people understand the very rare condition that my daughter has.

But thats why im here, so you lot can help me learn about domains and hosting things

But other than that they get on my t*ts with all the weirdos and all the people who upload a template background and make out its thier own site and they must be this web genius.

This topic is old as hell, but I love penpals and want to make my first post here. ;) (Hey y'all... sutra time.)

I used interpals, its good because its big, but a lot of scammers there.

Typical huge sites like Orkut or Bebo are mostly fake "hot girl" accounts but some cool people there.

I have used Penpalnet.com (currently under maintenance) and JuJu (http://www.juju.cc) for good real penpals.

JuJu blocks all traffic from Africa, so that takes care of most scammers right there. lol
