dude, the one you posted is like a two year old card. You can't run anything on it. The best cards now are as gfever said, the ATI X series and the Nvidia Geforce 6 series.
I would personally go for the Gforce 6600, since it is much cheaper than its big brothers.

it really depends on how much you want to spend. there are some really good cards out there that costs a lot of money. best idea would be to look for a price range and what you are going to be using the card for.
a good site for buying computer stuff is www.newegg.com. their prices are really good and they are very reliable. look at their stuff

the best graphic card is the one, witch will best work with ur apps/games. so, there r many chipsets [NVIDIA, ALI, VIA etc.] and some will support only [direct draw/direct 3d/open gl] or may cause problems when using 2D or 3D. some will draw faster frames and some can manage more colors or may cause a crash when u try to play some games. so - if u want so play doom or quake, i think nvidia will be a good choice. 4 counterstrike or RPG via will be fast and on top and ... the ali - chipset... hm... i think i just say "office"

It could be Matrox Parhelia or G450 or G550 for bussines applications. I am intresting in buying G550 or G450 cause of its great Tv-out capability, but I guess gaming performance is a bit slobish. I am those Divx/Xvid guy and playing Worms in free time, so DirectX isn't much of issue to me.
For gaming anyting from Nvidia or ATI that suits your price/performance ratio. Maybe ATI 9600XT, but read things on the net,I found it can be re-biosed to higher level (like 9800Pro).

The best card at this moment is the GeForce 6800 Ultra Extreme but it is realy expensive and comes in a limited edition. The 6800 GS is a good choice imo if you like 'highend' expensive stuff it is a factor 1.2 faster as the ati X800 XT in most games and sells for allmost the same price.
Those new cards are really fast ati X800 XT is more then twice as fast as the Ati 9800XT but it comes for a price I would never spent for a card.
Infact if you bought yourself an GF5900 (5950) or the ATI 9800XT You will have a nice card that will last another year or even two years the price is good and the performance is oke.
NOTE: If you are a linux-desktop user stay away from ati because of the bad driver support and sucky 3d performance.
