Its good to install shout box in website. but the script takes more php memory and many host not allow to install chat script. I will recommend you to discuss.com free comment widgets. so you can chat with your site visitors. Otherwise there are many choice even a chat widget by www.shoutmix.com or you can search google for new chat services.

A comment widget serves a different purpose than a shoutbox. A shoutbox is something that you can install anywhere on your website and it will display site-wide (global) messages by users. A comment, on the other hand, is a message that a visitor to the website posts about specific comment. Usually, comments are associated with blog articles or even photo blogs. A shoutbox is something that you would expect to see on the main page of a website and perhaps even on the sidebar of every page of the website.
