The firewall is there for a reason--to keep people out of the school's internal system and keep people from sending information out from school's internal system.

This works in both ways. If you're trying to set up some kind of open port so that external user can gain access to school's computer system, this constitutes as "hacking." And asking TRAP17 to know how is illegal! If this is NOT your intension, you need to post more than just a single line question.

You sure like the copy and paste functions in Windows, huh?

Why are you trying to override school firewalls? Are you trying to play games while working? My school firewall/proxy works this way (and your school's firewall might, too): it searches for words in URLs then it blocks it. For example, if the URL contains words such as "games", "mp3", "free", or "downloads", then it blocks it, so the URL http://freespeech.com/ is blocked. There are several ways that I do to get pass this. First, if you have access to the command prompt, open it. Then, type in this command: "ping [domain]" (without quotes). Replace [domain] with the domain of a site such as google.com. Then, you will get something that looks like this:
CONSOLE
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner>ping google.com

Pinging google.com [216.239.39.99] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 216.239.39.99: bytes=32 time=191ms TTL=247
Reply from 216.239.39.99: bytes=32 time=167ms TTL=247
Reply from 216.239.39.99: bytes=32 time=165ms TTL=247
Reply from 216.239.39.99: bytes=32 time=162ms TTL=247

Ping statistics for 216.239.39.99:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 162ms, Maximum = 191ms, Average = 171ms
Copy the stuff inside the brackets (216.239.39.99) and type that into the browser. Then, you will be able to view the site! Remember though, work comes first.

If that doesn't work, just go to my site and play the games there. Since it's new, schools do not know what it is, so it's not blocked: http://sang.trap17.com/g4m3s/

Good luck!

Wow I never knew that you could do that in Windows I guess it is good for something. Anyway, don't play games at school wait till you get home. That should solve the problem.

It basicly allows you to surf te internet from your computer at home whileon another computer. Its pretty cool.

I was in my school library and I found this forum thing and I started playing with my computer to see if I could bypass the frewall.

Those numbers up there are the key. if ur school security pulls up a message that says "srry...blabla." look at the http adress, take the numbers that are there (like 216.139.39.99) and enter them in the cress bar like so: http://216.139.39.99

I tried it and it pulled up the admin page... play with the code a little more if you like

good luck... =)

Lol Easier Way
Overide School Firewalls

Just go to loginrecovery.Com and download the little thing at home, save ot a floppy, and bring it to school. Put the floppy in the drive and press F8 on startup and upload to the wwebsite back at your hosue. It gives you the passwords to the admin.

Another method is to download and pay for a vpn tunnel as some students on university campuses have their ports blocked in their halls. Therefore this allows you to access any site, play any game and download anything and not have to worry about it being blocked/filtered ^_^

Ok... Whatever you want to do, the best option is to use a proxy. Using one, you can get around almost anything the school has filtered (I live in Singapore too). There are many sites that provide free proxy services. Just copy and paste the link into the address bar, and then enter the url you want to visit on the page it takes you to. I'm 90% sure this will work, as I've been able to get past pretty much anything (if you know what I mean). Heres the url:

Replying to iGuestomg my school blocked btunnel.Com too. Are there any other ways? I used to be able to open the command prompt by going thru some weird steps (they locked it from accessories) but now it's gone completely.

How do I pass school firewall?Overide School Firewalls

Beleive it or not, Bearegaurd Parish school has the best firewall ever.  You can not bypass anything.  I will bet you that there is not one Prox in the world that I can use for free. And I left the Y off of prox, because I would not be able to type this otherwise. Do you know of any that can override it?

it is so easy to bypass my schools system(m.o.e(managed operating environment) but first things first... you cant right click, you cant write to registry, you cant access ANYTHING... but anyway even tho command prompt is disabled i an still use it by going to notepad and typing in "command" and saving it as a bat and another wat to bypass it is to take out the network cable before logging in :P... so simple :| and the way i bypass the internet because it blocks anything with "download, proxy" or anything like that i just type into google "proxi sites" because it dosnt think it is actually proxy and i find all these websites(most blocked) and i use one untill it is blocked then i move on to the next unblocked one and so on... but unfortunately the only computers that have flash are the good computers in my ict/library blocks so most computers i use cant use anything like youtube... besides there are MANY more ways arount it and i will stop now.

I think the only way to do it would be to set up a proxy server, or use an anonymity web service...not sure exactly

Good Luck :P

^^ This made no sense.

Assuming you mean install a browser on a USB stick then open it in school and you can browse the net there are several flaws:
One, you cannot drag and drop a browser onto a USB stick, unless you mean a portable browser edition, in which case you need to download then install it to the stick.
Two, any school will block that in one of two ways, where I work (a school in the UK) we have an internal proxy, if you bypass that proxy you get NOTHING. There is no way around this, there is no back door. If you dont go through our proxy you can NEVER connect to the internet, no matter what you try. OUR proxy is the ONLY connection to the net. So if you got your own browser onto the system and put it a web proxy from the net (ie one of the annonymising sites) you just wouldnt get any net. The other option for blocking it is simply to block the firefox, opera, chrome etc... programs from running via a policy (on a windoze network) You can get around that by renaming your firefox etc... to "iexplore.exe" but even that is easy to block by telling the policy to only allow IEXPLORE from the correct windows directory, which of course you dont have write access to and thus you cant do it.

Assuming the target network has no internal proxy the best option is to run up a live CD of ubuntu ;)
