winxp Home and Pro is the best os?

Well I use prof but there aren't any grand differences between the two vers..Ok maybe a bit more complex and secure professional is (Yoda ).

I use Win xp pro and its a good os. I had a win 98 and xp is more fast!!!

I agree but maybe it's because I never tried any other OS. My laptop has xp pro.

i use the home verssion of xp and it quite good but my someone wont let me test linux on my comp

Well, if you count in all o'systems, linux is the best because of many things....no security holes, it's free, no viruses...so many things put together...

Yes I agree with that. Linux is better than Windows.

However, for most people, they're intimidated just mentioning Linux. They tend to see it as a geek's OS, and the learning curve for it tends to make the average Joe faint. That's why Windows have become so popular (as well as infamous) because it lets (or at least attempts to) the user forget about the system, and concentrate on the applications. This may or may not be good, but that's what most people want.

I used WinXP for one of my 'puters coz its currently the best of its family line. If there's one better, then I'll probably upgrade.
