You realize that you can constrain the proportions of your ellipse to whichever specific size you want, right? You just have to click on the arrow in the top toolbar beside the other shape options and choose "constrained" [I think... this is all from memory].

I hope this would be more easier...Select the picture witth rectangle selection tool as usual..Press Alt+Ctrl+D...In the pop up box say 10 and click on Ok..,.Thjat would do it-reply by Shankar

just select everything with a rectangle, leave some of it out for padding,

then invert your selection, then smooth it about 7 or 8 pixels.

Good dude :)Rounded Edges In Photoshop

very useful to have only top cornes rounded and bottom corner at 90°, thank you vrey much.

To have same effect with 4 rounded corners rectangle selection tool may be use with a 10px round option, and stroke the same way.
