Forum on your own website?

Was wondering if there was a way of getting this type of forum on ones own website. I've seen this type of forum on many websites so I'm assuming its widely used. Its a forum for Allumni of my old College and so the topic would'nt really fit in here. Thanks a lot

It's called invision board. And yes, I think you can, although I'm not hosted yet. In the demo cpanel you can click on Addon Scripts, and then select invision board. And then it will install itself automatically, I guess :)

There are many message board (free) available and they are easy to install and operate enough for a Dummy.
Just go to www.hotscripts.com and in php scripts you will find a huge veriety of message board scripts.
Most famous are Vbulletin, Invision Boards, WOWBB, PHPBB.

I think I use the free proboards... I think you missed that one out :)

I like forums it keeps my boredom from killing me.. :)

I'm busy using this one, InvisionBoard- Very cool and easy so far. If anybody could suggest a better one let me know.

ya .. there is so much free forum out there .. but i think InvisionBoard is good enough for begginer .. as it's very easy and customisable .. more over .. it's very cool ..

go for Invisionboard !
