A few days ago I stumbled across a great Wikipedia link about First person shooters, it contains a list of eleven free first person shooters, with some very nice titles. So if you're looking for a game this link is a must try:
http://en.wikipedia....Person_Shooters
All the files mentioned there are not demo's, they're full games...
A top 3 from me:
1. Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory (I've been playing that for almost 2 years now :])
2. Kuma/War (Altrough the installation is a pain in the youknowwhat)
3. Nexuiz (Very fast gameplay!)

They should add Quake 2 as well, that old game is dying, but with freeness it might get a new boost.
Here's a link to the legal Q2 game http://www.zyclan.com, just browse the site for the download pages.
I'm not allowed to post direct links to the files.
Hope to see you on Quake

Enemy Territory is a full standalone modification for Return to Castle Wolfenstein, download it from www.enemy-territory.com
ET is a great game, one of my favourite FPS, it has a great XP system (its not permanent, just for the cycle) and its pretty easy to get into.
Graphics are not state of the art compared to HL2. CS:S, Far Cry, or Doom3 but it is very fun, and well worth a download.
On a side note, Splash Damage, who made ET are releasing Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, which looks set to be brilliant!
Check it out!
