Now, how would i do that to a forum. I am not going to make a home page. Is there a way to do this for just a forum. I am using phpBB as my forum service. Anyhelp would be appreciated. Thanks.

It is the same thing to a forum.

A forum is a website, a web page, and so, it has a link, and the link to your forum can be optimized for search engines as well as every website pages, and that link can also be promoted too.

Despite the fact that it is a forum, every link can and should be optimized and promoted for top google/yahoo/msn search results for the top keywords/key phrases related to your forum subject/theme/category.

Ajay_Jambai, forget about that comment and ideas you shared there.

I know from my seo experience and from my web design experience too that the only thing that really matters is the google page algorithm, which you should pay a close atention every day, and if a website is on the first page of a search term, like free flash clocks for example, it is because that site has good back links from websites that google has already ranked high and also websites that are only related to your website main theme or subject.

What really matters is the number of links the high ranked websites from google have links back to your site, it is like a vote.

I know for sure because my website is on the first result for the search term: "free flash clocks" or in the top 10 results for the term: "flah clocks", and i used that technique, but obviously, you should create the proper meta tags, but the another thing that also really matters is the keyword popularity and keyword density.

I suggest you make some Directory Submission.It is very Important to have backlink.Try to fine some good directory on the net.
