There are way too many mods on these forums!
What the hell is the "army system" and the "reputation"? Do they serve a purpose? Or are they just frivolous crap that's not really needed? What is the point of the RPG thing or the arcade? They are just excess baggage that the forums would be better without!
These forums are way over-crowded with ads (thank god I have Norton so I never see them). I turned it off one night and counted like 7 ads per page! I know this is an ad-supported service, but what is the point of having that many ads if most people block them and the few who don't never click them? Go with the Google Adsense. Their text ads aren't effected by ad blockers and they have a much higher click rate.
Thank you for your time.

why many mods? because trap17 is a 24/7 service. and mods come in here in
different times of the day. do the mods bother you in way? why begrudge the number
of mods here? they are here to help, the more, the better.
what's the army system? well, it's a game for those who would like to play it. if you
don't like to play it, then don't. nobody is forcing you to play it. excess baggage? well,
the internet is full with them, so live with it.
what's the reputation? it's something to track how you have contributed to the forums.
not just some crappy posts which just rant on things. members (including admins/mods)
can give a positive or negative reputation if they feel you DESERVE one.
over-crowded with ads? it's just in the forum, and not on your hosting pages (if you are
given hosting here). so what if there's a lot? you can always go for paid hosting, and
never be bothered with ads, and forum posting, altogether. if it's not there and nobody
clicks them, well, we all will have no hosting. and Google Adsense has been tried here.
that cannot support the PROFESSIONAL features offered by trap17. you must be aware
that webmasters have bad experience with payments when it comes to adsense.
You're welcome.

You know, I'd love to flame this, but I won't.
I just don't understand why people complain. I mean, it takes extra effort to install things, and then we have ads so we ACTUALLY can offer hosting services. Honestly..
And I mean, why does everything have to serve a purpose? The Mods are here to keep people interested in the forums, add bigger chances to make active posters, more clicks on ads... better services.

I am glad you choose not to flame this. Flaming is a very imature and solves nothing.
Since I originally posted this, there have been a few changes on these forums that have been good.
The new skin is good, and the modifications (not moderators) have been stripped down, but there are still a few. That is good. Some modifications are nice and entertaining, but it is not good to have too many installed.
Ads have also improved. I have noticed the use of Google ads. Google ads are a win-win because ads are placed without being too much of a burden for the users. Statistics also prove that text ads have a higher click-thru-rate than banners and popups.
As I have already stated, since I joined here (and the creation of this topic), the Trap 17 community has improved greatly. I can see that the management of this community listens to the users, and I like that. Keep up the good work.
