Hey guys, I've been looking around for really cheap ipods. Does anyone know were to get them really cheap? I'd prefer to know about the video and 20gb color ipods only. Thanks!

the only place i know for ipod videos is on the internet. i got one for 400 bucks but it came with everything. i got the dock, cord, av jack cord(red, white, yellow), headphones, of course the ipod(sexy shiny black), and a little leather case with itunes and quicktime. 30 gigs and i can put full length movies on it. it eats the battery away though so just keep it charging while watching. we got the car adapter so now when we go on trips i can watch the movie on the ipod. we have about 2 days of music on it and it ony takes 2 gigs so im really happy. i hope that this post will help u. just buy it online because its really hard to find at a cheap price so just get the full package and the bang for your buck online.

You could always try eBay or Amazon... Those are most likely the best places for you to get an inexpensive, yet quality, piece of hardware (outside of the US).

I don't think so. I live in america and you can't get something for nothing here. It's the same old thing, you have to complete one of the offers. THEN, get five more people to do the very same thing. It's not really free.

That's up for debate, JC05. One COULD tell five other people and sign up for a few 30 day free trial things and then cancel those subscriptions before the free trial was expired. That way, one would technically be getting said item for free (may have claimed that it really works).

But what if you can't get five more people before your free trial is up? And they probly ask for bunch of personal info like your credit card or something. You have to set up an account for whatever free trial you do. And I don't know five people that would even consider doing something like this. I don't even know one! If you can find a place that you can get an ipod for absolutly FREE, then I'll check it out.

The best place to buy an Apple Ipod cheaper than the ones they sell in retail stores such as Bestbuy, Circuit City, CompUSA, other electronic stores like these is online...In the retail stores Apple dosnt let stores markdown their Ipods they have to be sold at the same price all around, so then people say oh I'll just buy it at the apple store.

But online is a totally different story, your best bet would probably be going to ebay.com, search for Ipods then make the bidding..have a set price only go for how much its worth, set a limit for yourself if the competition bids too high then just wait a fewdays and move on.

A good thing to do is to check the sellers feedback, if its good then your pretty safe but if its bad and people are complaining of broken/missing items then stay clear from that guy!

Ive heard of thses sites that use a refferal system but im not going to get into that as I think their rather rediculous.

If you want a cheap iPod, and not wait for a year at lockerz.com to get it redeem and maybe wait for their stock to refill (*cough cough*) then it really depends on what type of iPod you really want:

Fake, or Real?

If you want a Fake one, you can easily get it off at somewhere in China. Even if you want a real one, more often than not you will get tricked into buying a fake lookalike so you might want to go for a fake one instead, that usually looks worse, have less memory, easily breakable, but yet very cheap and inexpensive. Of course... that is if you don't put the airplane costs and other travel costs into the bill, assuming that you are currently not living in China.

If you want a real one, like people said, redeem it somewhere or get it through prizes, like the points system in your credit card and so on and so on. But that takes a while, even if it is less than a year. So you might want to get a good bargain at second hand shops or something, or even better, just steal if off someone, though I am against theft and I strongly wouldn't recommend this method of getting a cheap iPod. You might end up in jail. :P (God... why did I type it up in the first place then?)

If you want a first hand iPod, then you will need to use your bargaining skills and so your best to beat the price down. (Or get your parents to buy it for you, if you're young enough) I wish you the best in your bargaining quest and your search for a cheap iPod!!!

Apple sell refurbished iPod's, which are basically not the newest generation, but the Generation's before that one for a very cheap price. I am getting one from their, my brother got one from there, and it is in perfect condition.

Buying straight from Apple is just bad practice if you want to save money.

I looked at the link from the last post and a refurbished iPod Touch 8GB (2G) runs $180. I just bought an iPod Touch 16GB (2G) yesterday for $166 on eBay. You can also get an iPod Touch 8GB (2G) for as low as $115.

The trick to shopping around is to find incentives, rebates, and using Froogle to see where the cheapest prices are. eBay usually has the best deals, but make sure that you research the absolute lowest price before you bid or use Buy-It-Now; otherwise, you risk overbidding "at the heat of the moment."

Really, this applies to anything you buy online. Also, keep in mind: do you really need it new or can you get it used and save a bunch of cash in doing so?

Not sure if somebody has said this already (too lazy to go back and read through all of the other posts :P) Ebay will probably be your best bet. I bought a used LG Env2 from them and it only cost me $95 dollars. I was actually considering buying it straight from Verizon themselves, but they charge like 180 or something of that sorts for it. So I saved a lot of money just for getting it used. It's still in great shape with one noticeable nick and a little scratch but besides that it's awesome :P
