Well, here goes.
My site is not completely up yet. My previous host went down and I got approved
here. I have a basic package and have applied for and been approved for an
upgrade, but haven't had time to get everything in order to upload.
Am revamping some of my pages, and that will take time. Give me an idea
what you thing of what I do have up, will you please? I have taught myself
html, so don't be too cruel on the negative comments. Suggestions will be
appreciated. I have reduced the dpi to 72 on my graphics and have
compressed what I could of my jpg files to decrease load time.
However, some pages have a lot to load and will take extra time.
I am having some issues with graphics on my site not linking for some
people. This seems to happen Primarily for people who are outside the USA.
If you experience this, PLEASE let me know.

Anyway, as far as amateurs go, I'd have to say that you are one of the best
By the way - I'm up in Canada, and you're graphics all seemed to be showing up fine for me.

Overall a nice job. By the way, if you're interested my site has a free banner rotation service for graphics related sites like yours. The banners are averaging 1500+ views a month, which can only help to promote your site. If you want to accept the offer, go to http://www.mudmall.com and click on the 'Banner Accounts' link.

Seems I goofed by putting both sites in my signature. Now I don't know which site you reviewed. I meant to have you review:

Hmm. Hadn't thought of that. Good idea. Will work on it after I get back from vacation. Need to take a rest from the cold weather here in Mich.

Plus all the images work well for me. There are quite a few things on your site you should change... but I don't think you should change them because your site is a personal one you should design it how you feel and how you like it. You should be proud of what you've produced

Key phrases: "for free", "link-back in return is not required"
Here's an example, (for my site) of some of the statistics available with your banner account. Each month can be expanded to show which day the banner was clicked.

The whole purpose of the banner accounts is to help others. Hopefully via word of mouth and the occasional link-back it will help my site too. Like you, I gain nothing from the site except the satisfaction of creating something that is useful for others.

If do not want people to modify your sets, then I suggest you offer to make any additional buttons they may require. This might mean more work for you because you may need to modify the html as well, but I guess it will allow to maintain the quality of your sets.
Just an idea.

When you go the "Banner Accounts" page on my site there is a range of banners and buttons that can be used to advertise my site.

I like your website, it shows love for nature, caring and it is distinguished. It gives me a warm feeling. You succeeded in combining technique and art.
Most webdesigns I saw are focussed on high tech (kind of nerdy) and I think when I'm going to design a website it will be nerdy too because I'm a technical person with less focus on feelings.
You can see it is important for you to build a personal website and not a website that is one of all. So from that perspective your site will be remembered easily.
Ok now the technical stuff: I browsed it with firefox and I had no problems, all went well

When you create your banner account you need to provide the URL to your banner, so yes, it will be hotlinked. The reason I do this so you can change your banner at any time you choose. However, if you have hotlink protected your directories there could be a problem with this. If you'd rather not hotlink the banner, I could upload the banner to my site for you, but of course you won't be able to change your banner at will then. Another option is to host the banner on a site like imageshack as I have below.
As for a banner, perhaps something like this will do the job? (Probably looks a bit familiar
