As it stands, the current new edit feature (for the new upgraded board Invision v 2.1.4) is only available to those who are hosting with Trap17.com. now available for all the members! All non-hosting members should continue to use report feature to request for your post edit or modification. This is another privilege of being hosted by Trap17.com. This may or may not be permanent. However, this is how it is for now.

Thank you.

PS thank you dodgerblue and delivi for bring this to my attention.

NOTE ~OpaQue~ : Its now enabled for both Hosted Group and Member Group.

Thanks guys! I tried it out on my Open Source topic, just to make sure that it worked. Does this feature also bring in the credit recalculatioon formula?

I believe it does. I not really sure though. That is why the edit button was taken away in the first place, because people would make huge spamming posts and then use the edit button to make it look decent but the credits wouldn't be recalculated but I believe now it does.

i'm glad we can now edit our post. Well the selective few here. lol. Well i shouldn't say few. lol. Thanks for giving us that option of editing our post.

i feel like there's going to be more drama. Its like someone said something and it started a heated conversation and then some how they changed their post to something else and then later go back and deny that they didn'st say that. lol.

Glad to hear that the edit button is available. At least now I have a chance to look over my posts, edit and re-submit them in case I made a major grammar/spelling/repetition error.

it has been frustrating to not be able to edit posts sometimes, removing it entirely in the first place seems to have been a bit heavy handed, perhaps if there are still issues in the future editing could be removed from just the users that aren't behaving properly.

You nor I were here when the edit button was originally taken away, but the reason why it was is in my quote above. It was the abusing of the system so OpaQue recoded it to change the credit count once an edit was made.

Great advance! I needed this feature :) I tend to make posts and then I read myself and it looks very stupid most of the times, because I use words that donīt really exist or I mispell or whatever.

I thought it was impossible to do because of the credits count, but at last is here!

Wow...
I've never visited Trap17 before, and I'm amazed by the forums.
Is there any plan to upadate Astahost to look like this, and have activate the edit feature?

ok i just have one question, umm how would the edit button affect the credit calculation system. will credit be deducted for editing a Post, or is it just a Normal edit button that wont affect the Credit system?

I'm so happy! There wasn't an edit button the entire time I've been around, but I still felt kind of lost without it. I would finish the post, and think of something really great to add (okay, so it probably wasn't really great, but you get the drift!) but then couldn't do it without annoying the mods. I didn't want to do that, so I'd wait around for someone to reply, so I could add it into my next reply of the thread. This makes things so much better! I'm happy that it's here, and hopefully it can't be abused, and we can keep it

Thanks for always making this place better!

Um, I'm very new here, and this brings up a question for me. Does the length of a post have anything to do with getting credits? I read in the rules that you were supposed to make a 'real' post, and not just a smiley or a few words. I tend to be very chatty on forums, and make pretty long posts quite a bit. I don't want them to be considered 'spam' just because I'm chatty. I'm extremely talkative in person, but I have Social Anxiety Disorder, which makes it very hard for me to associate with people in person, so I tend to be talkative online, even though I am a slow typist, and only use 3-4 fingers when typing, lol. Are long posts considered 'spamming'?

Earths Daughter,

As long as you post on-topic issues (not hijacking or diverting from the topic at discussion), using full sentences and not post one-liners you are golden. And I implore you to talk away
