You can't.
Excepted when the image library has bugs, but that's a security hole.

Well this topic really interests me too. I see people with signatures that are images and they have a character holding a sign and it says something and it shows your IP address. How do they do that? I would like to make that, except I want to make a custom design with my own graphics.

That are not normal images but scripts or better yet dynamic images mostly done by asp (aspImage) but its also posible with php I have seen.

I think if you search with google @ dynamic images + php OR asp" you will find something you could use to make them yourself <_<

They are perfectly valid images, with no script in them.
The only thing to notice is that they're generated dynamically (but all it's done on server-side : you can save the image, it'll show exactly the same thing...)

The easiest way to do this is to use PHP and the GD library.

For something like a dynamic picture/counter that displays number/names/etc, you would need to code something from your server not a script embedded into an image. It would be like some php code that decides what picture to use.
