Hello...
Here goes my 1st post :)

Source

This self-proclaimed smallest color camera in the world costs just $138.95, and it looks set to be a hot item among amateur voyeurs. It can be used in a hole that’s only 1/16” in diameter and measures less than 1/3” square. The camera features a 0.25” color CMOS chip and feeds on a 9-12V DC power @ 35ma power supply. The camera comes with plug and play cables, a 1 year warranty and a 30 day money back guarantee.

But I think even they dont show in pictures, the camera tied to a cable...
Still an amazing gadget but yet seem to be useless... What do you say?

that looks amazing. But probally really expensive and really easy to loose. But would be really good for someone spying on someone.

Supercircuits sells it for $138.95 but it says "out of stock"

Company advertise it with these lines "Don't drop this one on the carpet, you might not find it! This camera is so small that it is barely noticeable at the end of the cables."

yes now i can spy on innocent college dorm girls. lol. jk. This has a great potential for some spy uses. Something as small as this video camera i think i'm going to lose it. Its so small. Smaller than a stamp and a quarter is just scary. I'm afraid I might crush it. lol.

this does seem interesting. anyone going to buy one?

This sure does look like a neat gadget. What I would like to know is what resolutions are of the images and how long it can last on a battery. That site in the link has alot of other intresting gadgets too. If I had one I would be concerned about it breaking, it doesn't look like it's built very strong.

i think it is just designed for spying  no common one would like to take a so little camera to get picture and it looks not very neat as well...certainly it must have no optics zoom system with it so small shape,so picture quality is not very good IMO.

If I understand it correctly it can't last on a battery as you aren't buying a camer just the lense. I'd bet it probably doesn't even record on it's own, must supply the cables to got to a VCR or USB/FireWire.

Hawwww!! People are probably going to abuse this device!!! You know the stupid peeping toms...
But freaking heck is it tiny!! I hate my mum to get her hands on one... I garantee her putting one in the house to see what I get up to whilst she's out or something.... or finding that I'm not at home.. lawl..
I still can't really believe it I mean it needs all the wires and electrical stuff... if they can get it soo small surely it can't be tthhaat hard to create a video camera?..

haha.. Funny thing is...I CONSTANTLY THINK that there are cameras around me... at home mainly but also I feel my mum follows me when I go out and is spying on me! But that's just being paranoid.. and this new technology is not a good sign..

I saw someone say it's just the lense not the camera or something like that...... HUH?

That camera looks totally amazing, would be really really expensive though, but would be just totally perfect for spying on ppl. Could get a shot of your next door neighbour stripping, obviously a woman though. Lol

Wow, this is camera is really tiny. I'd be surprised if it actually produced any good photos though, although having said that, anything can be possible with the modern technology. I still think it's a bit on the small side though, the components inside must be the size of a pea too, there's plenty inside that could go wrong.

When they come down cheaper in price, i reckon it'll come into a kind of fashion, where everyone goes around with these little cameras. We'll find out sooner or later anyway!

I haven't thought about miniature cameras before, a lovely idea in my opinion. I hope they catch on well and get used sensibly. :(

If this is the size thats commercially available now days, then I wonder what type of technology the real spies are using these days. I dont know but with nanotechnology they can make really amazing things.

About the size of this one, I wasnt really that surprised, because come cellphones have their cameras at about this size. Just think about how tiny most cellphones are now days, the only exception about this would be the battery and circuitry that would go along with it.

For what it is I realy dont think its expensive, Obviously you cant expect real good image quality from it, but its design, the way the have made everything fit in there just makes it worth the price. I still cant find any use for it though, dont really feel like spying on anyone. Just hope this type of technology doesnt fall in the wrong hands (parents (lol), perverts,etc...)

That is one small camera! I bet they are out of stock for two reasons.

1. So many people lose their camera daily or accidently break it somehow that they need to get a new one.

2. Perverts are buying them as quick as they can and installing them in dressing areas in JCPenny when they are cleaning the store as a janitor (or some other job)

People are more likely to see the cord than the camera, I think. (lol)

Victim: What's this cable doing in here?

Pervert: Oh, it's... hmm... we are reparing our electric cables... Just ignore it.

Victim's thoughts: Well, its just a cable, im not seeing any cameras

a product like this seems like it would cause alot of trouble lol. might be useful for catching shop lifters or something though... i dunno, really seems like it would cause more trouble than it would help. :T and to think a produt like this is available commercally.

Yeah, I think the big problem would be perverts. I'm telling you people, with all this micro cameras and internet monitors and all of that, we could be being watched very closely and we may never even know it.

With a camera that small.... I'm afraid to change clothes now...

But hey, I can see how a 007 can use those, put it in your tie or something. That'd be freaking awesome.

As for what it'd look like hooked up to cables, I did some resea-.... googling and found some neat stuff.

Thx for those pics... Cables doesnt look too big, you can hide it under your clothes easily. Perfect for recording everything you see. A Video-diary :)

I wonder if the good uses will outweigh the bad uses with this sort of technology.

Catching shoplifters = catching sexual prey?

You can probably spy some people with the camera. But the picture quality won't be that great considering the price and the size of the camera.

Things such as stalking someone might not be very difficult, even with a low resolution camera. It's scary because a lot of people get stalked without the use of technology. What happens when you do add something that can be so easily hid, yet still offer a decent amount of information to your query?
