Is there any service that can give me the most popular sites in my country or geographic area?

p.s. regardless of site content

Cool I'm first to post!!

Sorry, I don't know any service that can tell you which sites are most popular, but I'm sure you can tell what those sites are. Like: www.google.com www.runescape.com

Or something like that.

Anyway why do you want to know?? Just to go to the sites?? If so, just find a list of cool sites. Look up a list on Google or something, or ask someone. Just wanting public opinion?? If so, you can ask people what sites they go to.

Hope that helped!!

There is one i know of, and it's http://www.alexa.com. They have rankings by geographic areas, and you can input any site and it'll tell you the info and rank it has.

Oh, thank you, that could prove to be very useful when you use it with some of the other topics here, kind of showing what works best. Hopefully people will use that closely and post results here on what gets the most ranks, while what gets the fewest

I think that alexa is the best that sorts the sites popularity demographically & also ranks them in terms of the traffic, But it is also not very accurate.

wow, this site is very helpful. Its the first of its kind that I've seen, and this will surely help me in planning where to create my site, and assuring that the host wont just close down or something.

Thank you for suggesting this site!

Yeah the only thing I can think of would be Alexa. The only thing that really makes me not want to go their site is that SiteAdvisor lists them as a potentially hazardous site >_<

Yeah I know, you think they would be a green for sure as they are a big website.
