Same here comcast finish their take over of adelphia where I live just because the family were a bunch of crooks and all that good stuff.

We are supposed to be getting a speed boost within the new few weeks, I think it is the 8mb that was mention, but I haven't had any problems with them either. I know that on the west coast comcast is huge over there in terms of that everyone is using them. if you still having problems when then switch to verizon and then get it over with.

Well I assume you've switched right now, but for others that find themself in a similar situation...

Before you switch, call them and tell them you're going to cancel their service because it is not reliable and the speeds are not what they advertised. Most companies will redirect your call to a department who's sole job is to give you free 'upgrades' in order to keep you as a customer. AOL is notorious for doing this, but I have a friend who's gotted several free phones from Verison from doing the same thing.

And you don't stand to loose anything except your time.

I use comcast cable. But I have one of the fastest connections in washington state. Because were the only house with its own cable box. So we don't have to share connection speed with anyone.

But then we have a wireless router so that makes it a little slower.

Worthless COMCAST Chat assistance. Comcast Cable

Totally agree!  I disconnected my fax from the modem (with dual line) and can't figure out how to reconnect it.  So I went to chat to ask for a link to a guide or chat on how to reconnect it.  The chat agent "Sharon" said the only way to find out how to reconnect the fax was to have a tech come out for 50 dollars.  She couldn't even tell me how to run the fax to the modem!  Worthless, Worthless, Worthless!  And the only way they will tell you is to pay 50 dollars!  VERY FRUSTRATED.

I live in Colorado and used to have Comcast for TV service and never enjoyed their customer service. I switched to DISH Network when I started working in their tech support department and I haven't looked back since. The rigorous training to supply every customer with the best of service is incredible and I know that's definitely not implemented within other providers.
