Does any one know any animation programs that is similar to Adobe Image Ready, (<----- which is crap when it comess to animation) but better. Because I am trying to create animated gifs and Adobe hasnt in my opinion got alot to offer.

I would like to be able to achieve this:

That is just two video clips with a frame over the top, and you can do that in ImageReady. Flash can be used to make animated GIFs, too. Although that's not what it was designed for, it can do a pretty good job and you've got more control over the animation. As for free programs I don't think you'll get a lot more than a program that can just string a set of images together rather than add effects etc.

It looks like someone did that image ready. They imported a movie clip then shrunk it down and had a image placed on top if it. :)
