Before Google, i either used MSN, Yahoo, Yahooligans, Ask Jeeves and a few other i can't remember. When i use to use Ask Jeeves they never answered my questions and always led me to kiddy websites. I once typed: 'how to make a for dummies book for dummies' and it came up with: 'how to make cake.' Yahooligans and Yahoo aren't really pictured as a search engine because they have too many things on their home page. Google is plain simple and you get right to the search, which is the important part. MSN was ok, but they had a lot of sponsored links/site and i think they are using "live search" or something, need to check. But i use Google before any other search engine, sometimes i don't get what i am looking for but i is still better than alot of other search engines out there.

Life without Google...? I bet there wasn't even internet out, or computers. If there was, there was probably a really old search engine on the internet, just called something like "Search Engine" or whatever lol. Thank God people came up with the idea of Google.

I don't know if it was before Google existed, because I haven't been online for all that long (maybe 10 years myself... I'm not really sure.) But I know that I started out using Yahoo... Even had the email account with them. But that was while I was learning how to use the computer during the limited time were were online in computer class in high school. Sometime after I got the internet at home was when I found out about Google. Now I do most of my stuff with Google, including the email and several other features that they allow for. I just like it so much better

Megaspider. I think AskJeeves.
ElectricMonk was absolutely the bomb because you could enter queries in the form of a question...I wonder if any of these are still around? BRB, I'm gonna go look.
I'm back. Well, after googling electric monk (how histerical is that) the page as I knew it does not seem to exist.
Do any of you remember the days before wiki? How about Encarta online. It makes me shiver.
