I use this website to download files.
I can download easily with DAP from this website with 5 parallel connection. Many website doesn't support this features.

It is clean and beautiful!But, http://filehippo.com/,i think the name is some hard to remember it.

Yes, i agree with you but it provides a lot of downloadable programs such as download.com and softpedia so this site isn't that bad
oh and BTW it's not an elephant that's a hippopotamus

Lot of negative comments in the beginning. Anyway, the site is very good and it does what it shows on about page. It has really useful and popular softwares. Very clean layout. Its way ahead by tens of miles compared to download.com and softpedia in accessibility and information it gives about files. I had a couple of downloads of old version of my favourite softwares, reliving the past memories of using these softwares.

I love filehippo!

Very easy to navigate and very cool colours - nothing harsh or distractive about the interface.

The hippo logo is very cute.

I think the logo is supposed to be "half-cut off" - adding to its' charm  (as if it is peeping around a corner). 

The "filehippo updater" is the icing on the cake.

Filehippo is the most comprehensive site, that I have come across that supplies you with Freeware and shareware [mostly freeware].
When i reinstall windows I get all my latest freeware from this site. The good thing about this site is that I supplies that latest version the
software and you can download the older archived version too. A 9/10 for me.

sorry to say I don't understand why people didn't like the site but tell you what I used to download software from download.Com and every time I got new virus from them so I dunno how but I found filehippo.Com and best part of it is I don't get my pc screwed every time I download software
