It's funny to say but, it can happen if technology will get smarter and smarter then computers might talk back to us and get angry almost like shown on Irobot when the robots take over..should this be stopped? Or are we just going to make stuff too advance

Nah... Computers cant take over us cause them dont have any kind of artificial intelligence. Computers are just tools that helps the human to do certain tasks, but them are no robots.
But maybe, someday in the future the human will make a robot with Artificial Intelligence that could develop the idea of conquer the world or something ... yea just if the human makes that big mistake.
(or already there is something made by the human with AI? i doubt it)
By now i dont wanna be afraid of my own computer

Migue2k7 has a point. Computers won't be able to take over us, they are just tools to aid us in our work unless we program them with Artificial Intelligence (AI). A lot of video games nowadays are being built around this AI, fighting games, football games, all of these have AI programmed in it. But the similarity these things have are that AI is programmed in a particular aspect, for e.g sports games. the AI is programmed to counter your moves. For a robot to function, it has to be able to know how to react in certain situations and that would be very difficult. But never would they let a computer control us or have any thoughts of being more domineering than humans, we are smarter than computers.

It is unlikely we will get to the stage where we can socialise computers into society any time soon. The way a robot works and the way a human works are different, and I don't think we will see convincing human-like robots for many years to come. However, World leaders are moving closer and closer to adding computer controlled robots and such to their militaries, so I suppose they could be taking over the world with computers
And even if robots did become incredibly powerful we have two failsafes: if Microsoft design their OS then they'll last 5 minutes, and we can always pull the plug.

I feel that if technology continues on the path that is going in then Yes this will occur. Everybody knows this from scientists to writers like Ray Bradbury, who stress the importance of using technology to the fullest, but knowing there is a limit to how far we can go with it. Right now though, I feel we are at a good state in the technology buissiness and we do not have to fear of this occuring in our day and age, but as technolog progresses we are becoming more vunerable to such take overs that we need to be extremely cautious to this occuring cause it could happen in the near future when we are least expecting it!

Although computers are a big part of our society their intelligence is limited to what we want to supply them with. Every computer has an off switch too, in any case something like that could be shutdown. I always wondered what would happen if our whole network of computers shutoff for just one day what a big impact it would have on the world. If you think about it computers are everywhere; stores, your home, your car, & pretty much anywhere you go involves computers somehow. Yeah it all seems strange that none of this was even around back in the day, and look how far we have come.

Computers are evolving at an alarming speed and many people will in fact be sitting home because the factories they work in has hired computers instead of them. Also many people love the computer and are like addicts like me. I cannot live without a computer not even for a day. Computers cannot take over completely but will so in many fields.
