Elprime Clock Pro - Review
This software adds an analogue clock face to your desktop. You can opt to have the clock on top of all your programs or only have it show when it all programs are minimised (show on desktop). An incredibly useful feature is that when you put your mouse over the clock, it gradually invisibilises meaning that you can read text/click on buttons that the clock would have been hiding.
The really nice thing about this visual enhancement is that you can select from a variety of skins: 21 come pre-installed and about 40 skins are downloadable via their skins database on their website. Using their skin manager you also have the ability to create your own customised skins.
Another feature is the alarm system that the clock has. You can select from a sufficient selection of SPR (PC Speaker Files) and WAV alarm files that come with the application. Unfortunately, a list of alarms aren't available from their website like the skins are but you are free to add your own SPR and WAV files and use them as alarms. You have a fairly advanced control system which allows you to schedule alarms hourly, daily, monthly and to ring once. With the daily option, you can set it to ring on certain days of the week rather than every day (ie just Sunday and Wednesday), so, if you only select one day, it doubles up as a weekly option.
Other notable features include the ability to update the clock from an internet server or an LAN, a built-in calendar system, the ability to display the date on the clock and various other special effects.
However, the one main problem with this clock is that it doesn't cater for the digitalised people - you can only have an analogue clock face. If you want to enlarge the clock face, you may notice a visible loss of quality.

The clock does nothing that incredible. It is simple a visual enhancment yet a good visual enhancement at that. Various features allow very good control over the clock. £10 is a good price to pay for something like this and if you want to improve your desktop, I would get it especially whilst it's free.
