Well, do you really think that the traffic generation will work ?

Free traffic generation program may generate traffic for you however, that traffic is of no use at all. Because people actually visit other sites just for the reason to earn points..so that other members of same program can visit their websites and like this the loop goes on and on...people visit each others site without reading anything and thus that visit is of no use at all!

so, do you think that this kind of traffic is of any use to you and joining these traffic generation programs will help you ?

I will discuss the tips which actually helps generates the traffic in the next post, but meanwhile you can think over this and don't forget to post your thoughts on this!

during the heydays of the dotcom bubble years ago (before it crashed ;)), i have dabbled in several traffic generation programs. i would agree it's just a waste of internet time, and a waste of bandwidth. it simply inflates the amount of traffic you receive, with no eyeballs really connecting to your website to spend time in it and make it fruitful for you. in the end, you will just consume all your available bandwidth with nothing to show for it. i've wisened up over the years, and no longer rely on traffic generation programs for my sites... i just "let it be" and simply rely on word-of-mouse and word-of-mouth ;)

I have never tried these traffic generation programs and I would never do because I think the visits you get are for nothing if people is not really interested on your site. I suppose that is good for people with useless websites whon only want their advertises to be seen and earn money that way, but not if your web is seriously based in your contents.

The short version of mayank's posting is:

Traffic generation services are a waste of time and bandwidth.

Also if they sent users to your site its usually the wrong users like spam bots, hackers and script kiddies. Bad idea...also the sites you see on these traffic sites no one would want to view them as the designs so bad.

he he, Jim! you summed up all the post in one single line. I guess that really is saving the time and energy and I am really bad at that when I want to explain things, I just write too much or speak too much...maybe making the things boring.

Anyway, it seems that most of the people agree to me on this part that these traffic generation programs of no use at all. So, do we discuss the good traffic generation techniques in next post or would you like to mention anything about these traffic generation programs???

Occasionally, if they are a manual surf, they can bring people to your site. Rarely, though, will anyone join or use your service if your website isn't free. They can also help boost your traffic ranking making your site seem more desirable since its higher up on the visited list.

Yes, but these people are not targeted enough to waste your time on, considering the time it takes to surf.

Again this doesn’t help much ;)

The content should drive traffic and nothing else. That is the only thing that would last. A good site would more often than not be found and dugg or delicious-ed or stumbled upon. That would be more than enough to drive traffic to your site , wouldn't it? Anyways Content and presentation are the only reasons one browses various sites. So that is what you should be providing. Traffic generators anyway don't generate much traffic. So they are of no use.
