Logistics System Simulation in School of Logistics Engineering, WHUT, China

Simulation analyzed a system by using its computer simulation model. It is a tool for evaluating a plan or finding a optimized sollution, which is widely used in many industries, such as manufacturing, logistics, transport, and so on.
Logistics systems include warehouses, ports and terminals, transport systems, supply-chaines, and so on.

SLE(School of Logistics Engineering) of WHUT(Wuhan University of Technology), has done many researches in Logistics System Simulation, especially in ports systems.

The core of simulation is to model the system.

Firstly, we look into the real system and collect data from it.
Then, the dynamic characters of the system is analyzed.
After that a mathematic model is established based on the description of the system.
Then, computer programmes are written and run.
Finally, the result of the simulation experiments is analyzed, and reports are generated.
