Google has released a Linux version of its Desktop search client.

Now the Tux users too harness the power of Google Desktop to find their documents and files just as the Windows users.

I never really liked the google desktop concept...
why would you want to have yet another search function for files and some addon applications bundles in a cpu demanding toolpack such as this one?
I don't get it...

I downloaded it a while ago and still can't find a good use for it.
So, I agree with Unstoppable.

Plus there is no sidebar for Linux as in Windows.
