My name is Areo X. I am currently under development for Two next gen pokemon games, Pokemon Black Gem and White Jade Versions. They take place on the Kahoto Island region. You can play either as Max (Male) or Robin (Female). Our team has currently created and designed over 2o new pokemon, including 3 new starters and 2 legendary pokemon. All pokemon seems to be is the same game packaged 8 times, variating by graphics and creatures each of which is only slightly different from one another, none of them fun to beat like a Combine Soldier or Combine Dropship, for instance. It's the second reason why I don't like RPGs that much, the first being the usual lack of any real time combat.

Do you have a license to create a Pokemon game? You could be sued by the creators of the franchise if you do not have clearence with them, as it is still under US and international copyright. Of course, if you live in a country like Iran, you shouldn't have much of a problem since they don't respect US or International copyright law. It might be wise to change the name of the game and say that the game is similar to pokemon. That way you curve copyright law since it's your own little world with your own little characters (unless you carry some of the pokemon characters).

... Isn't that illeagal unless you have a licence and/or permission from the owner of Poke'mon? You might not want to do that... You might get arrested . As Tetraca said, (happy birthday) If you're in Iran or some country like that. I don't like Poke'mon even though I occasionally play it .

Next Generation Pokemon Games

I believe that there some kinda portal that can take us to the pokemon world
Or its possible that if we hope hard enoguh we can find it or if we hope hard enough and prey and wish all of the animals in <you>THIS WORLD</I>
Will turn into pokemon and gain inteligence but everyone always thinks I'm just being a nerd

You should make a game that starts out as some kid who finds himself finally falling into the pokeon world and him or her tries to become some kinda legend or something,havnt thoguht hard on game ideas

I'm currently doing game design in college, using UE3. Ever since the Pokémon saga started, I had been hooked. I enjoyed every Saturday morning waking up to watch an episode of Pokémon; although I was around 7 years old at the time. The Pokémon games on the Nintendo 64 gave me great ideas for a Pokémon game of my own. Unfortunately I had to let those ideas go, because I had no clue how to make games. Nevertheless the idea of creating a Pokémon game always comes back up in the back of my mind.
I still have a real kick *bottom* idea for a next-gen Pokémon game using UE3 (Unreal 3 engine). I even wanted to add realistic textures and normal maps on the Pokémon. I would like to make them as visually compelling as possible, as a person would see it within our dimension. A good example would be the scales on a Charizard, or the faces on an Executor. I even wanted to incorporate detailed animation for battle sequences and using the game's environment. An example would be a Pokémon could attack by using a combination of fighting on the ground, to hopping on a tree limb, and striking the opponent. I also would redefine the entire map, and make it almost infinitely explorable, moreover allow online capability. The map would probably start out with the traditional old school red/ blue version region, and then proceed to the next following regions. Another Idea I had was the player walking around the environment and actually seeing wild Pokémon wonder around. It would bring an awesome unique way of game play. Other ideas were pretty obvious ideas that weren't in any of the games, such as bringing your Pokémon out from their poke balls and show them out for display. I also want the Pokémon to have individual personalities, so it would be interesting to watch them. All these ideas mentioned are just the tip of the ice burg, there are many, many more.
I do realize Pokémon in the US is more for children, where in Japan it's more for everyone. If I could get an agreement with Game Freak or maybe Nintendo, I would probably dedicate every living moment of my life in creating probably the funest game in the world. Nevertheless Pokémon dose have a big impact on the entertainment industry, so getting permission to make a next gen game without reliability would be really difficult. Money always doses the talking; meaning if it doesn't sell it goes to hell. In my opinion, it's not about the money; it's all about making fun games that'll last forever.

I've been waiting so long for someone to want to start a new gen pokemon game with intense new graphics that would make it soooo hot, and with a engine like UE3 I cant wait 2 c what it looks like, really excited, cant wait for this game to be released.PS. I'd love to help create a game, especially a Pokemon game!

Good Idea...Next Generation Pokemon Games

Yea it sounds like a good idea... The only thing is that I think a pokemon game that you can go to all the different regions... That would be extremely popular 4 almost all age groups... Have a look at www.serebii.Net/pokearth/ and look at the map theyve got of pokearth it is awesome... If u make the game u definentaly Hav to make one about pokearth...

Pokemon game for the WiiNext Generation Pokemon GamesI am making a written walkthrough for a game that will revolve around Mewtwo. It will have an event where Celebi takes you and Mewtwo back in time to the place where Mewtwo was created. You will also be able to obtain all of the event Pokemon without going to any special event. A new item called the P.T.D - Pokemon Transport Device allows you to access the item and Pokemon storage system from any place at any time.
