Islamic calligraphy

it is the art of writing, and by extension, of bookmaking. This art has most often employed the Arabic script. this art developed in islamic age there is a lot of texts prove for example...

Naskh was one of the earliest scripts to evolve. It gained popularity only after being redesigned by Ibn Muqlah in the 10th century AD.......for example

The Diwani script is a cursive style of Arabic calligraphy developed during the reign of the early Ottoman Turks (16th and early 17th centuries). It was invented by Housam Roumi and reached its height of popularity under Süleyman I the Magnificent (1520–66)......for example

and

the easiest script called Ruqah (small sheet), is rounded and densely structured with short horizontal stems. Req'aa has a close affinity with Thuluth. But Req'aa developed in a different direction from Thuluth -- Req'aa became simplified..... for example

and there is few kind of Calligraphic scripts like ( FARSI , THULUTH , Jilli diwani .......)for example

Wow.
The Islamic script is as complicated and varied as the Chinese. I personally love that Eagle/Hawk drawing with scripts all over it. It clearly suggests that art and its derivatives come from the things we percieve by our senses.
I'm still in awe of the calligraphy examples.

I'm not sure, but I think the scripts on the gate of the Taj Mahal is written in Islamic (Mogul). The goal was to create an illusion that a person looking at the script will perceive the scripts like it's of the same size. So the script was written in increasing dimension. What a work! Very Clever.

Well, I still am not sure if that's a Islamic Calligraphy... but it does look like The Diwani Scripts.

Yea, I'm Egyptian and I know that there are actually guys who make a fortune out of making caligraphy art (like the praying man or the bird, not just calligraphy script). Some of them have pretty amazing works. Here are some more samples if you're interested in more of them (you can find a bunch on Google too):

Picture 1: This piece is a composition cat/tiger-like creature with its head turned. Like all the others, it is done in Arabic calligraphy art.
Picture 2: Another cat/tiger-like creature, looking forward with one of its paws raised.
Picture 3: I'm pretty sure this one is a crane (it's probably the most amazing one I've seen yet, too).
Picture 4: Another piece depicting a man praying.

I am from Russia, but i am tatar, not russian.
Tatars - second nation after russians by population in Russian Federation
Russians have saying, sounds approximately like that:
Scrape russian and you will find tatar.
Before 1917 (October Revolution) tatars alphabet was based on the arabic graphics.

this is calligraphy in form of a lion is called NAAD-E-ALI

because IMAM ALI was called LION OF ALLAH in arabic asadullah .

HELP!!The Art Of Islamic Calligraphy

hi! I see that you are a POSSIBLE native arabic speaker, and I was wondering if you can help me out a bit, and determine which one sounds better when I want the phrase:

Life is worth living because there is love 

 الحياة تستحق العيش لان الحب موجود   .1

or,

2. الحياة تستحق العيش لأن هناك حب

and to the one that is better, is the "spelling" and grammar used correctly?
