Can someone please post a screenshot of the text ad that appears at the bottom of your Qupis website? :) I have never seen how it looks before (I searched this forum and the website, and I have seen no Qupis-Hosting Sites either), and I want to compare it to other services. :P

Thanks :D

We've had a running demo account for just this purpose.. but it was wiped out accidentally along with other spam and idle accounts.

I have not received the reinstatement of our Qupis demo account. But the text ad appears in graphics form at the bottom of each page. The advertisement is for our other hosting services and not of AdSense or others alike.

I see this is from some days ago, but as long as no one put it, here's a capture of the ad that is in the bottom of the site.

Ok, thanks. From jlhaslip's AEF Demo Forum, they appeared different, so thats what I thought they looked like when BUFFALO said that. I guess he just added those. :)

Also, thats not that bad, lol. :P

if i'm not mistaken, jlhaslip's AEF DEMO forum is hosted on trap17.com. :) i believe those were added by jlhaslip to promote xisto-related sites as trap17, computinghost, qupis, etc.

if you want to check LIVE qupis.com hosted sites, here are some which are spidered by google. better to view them LIVE so you can see how the ads look with the varying degrees of web design implemented by the qupis account holders.

Yes, the Ad Bar on the AEF Demo site is a feature of the AEF Forums which lets you add a bit of html to the Top and/or Bottom of the Forum. It is a standard feature of the software and does not require a 'Mod' exept you need to supply the code for it through the Forum's Admin Panel.
I added the references to Trap/xisto/computinghost as my way of saying thanks to Opaque and to advertise the community.

Where is the code so I can move this to a specific spot on the page? I use Cutenews, so the text ad is showing up at the top of my screen, overlapping with text that I have there.

I believe the code for the Qupis ads is added onto the end of your page just before it is sent to the browser. Therefore you can't change the code for the adverts. If they are appearing in the wrong place then make sure you don't have any CSS that conflicts with the ads which would cause them to move.

Well, I use Cutenews to post my news, so the news isn't on the page itself which is why the news is on top of the ad. You can see what's going on my clicking here.

Interesting - I checked out the link to see some live Qupis-hosted sites, and the third link on the list for Doxycycline Teeth has some massive violations of the TOS. They have removed the Qupis banner. The site appears to exist only to provide links to other sites (including 2 Viagra sites, one gambling site, and one porn site).

So now that I have ratted out an offender, is there any chance of getting my request for a site approved. It's been two days and I'm getting antsy. I was planning on using the free hosting as a test before ponying up for paid hosting. But with no site, there can be no evaluation :P

Basing your decision on the service at Qupis is not correct. Computinghost are in the same Server cluster, but on different servers configured to optimize the features required on paid hosting.
Qupis and the other free Hosting servers are configured differently, so although the service level will be good on those servers, it gets better with paid service. Honest.
And Qupis uses a different Hosting manager, not cpanel. Xpanel, I think.

Ok this is very, very strange. I took a look at that doxy site you were talking about, and when you first get linked from google, there are no ads, but then refresh. The content changes to some forums and the ads are there. What the heck is going on?

I run a website under qupis and I've just noticed that the ads at the bottom of the page are gone. They must have missed something when they tweaked something because a few days ago I also encountered open_basedir errors. By the way, I'm not complaining that the ads are not there. <_<
