So is it best not to post much while we are waiting for our accounts to get accepted? It seems to me more logical to only subtract 30 credits (or 10 depending upon which account plan you pick) from your total amount of hosting credits.

After getting accepted for free hosting, is it normal for the credit system to change from number of hosting credits to number of days?

Yup, perfectly normal. As you might know 1 hosting credit = 1 day of hosting, so 365 credits is one year of hosting. to reflect this the credit system shows you in Days, rather than credits. Of course for non hosted members listing it as Days would be confusing so that's why it changes

That was always the one flaw with the credit system that bothered a lot of people back when it first started out, but word has it that Version 3 of the credit script, and maybe that little problem would be fix. Of course I wouldn't mind knowing what other fun stuff will be going into that script either.

Thanks for the replies. I can see how the credit system would be confusing for those who have yet to get free hosting. I thought I remember reading that 1 credit was equal to 4-5 days though. I guess I was wrong.
