Byethost is an okay host, but then it got worse! They took out their fantistico program. The size is so small and it takes along time go get into the ftp and everything, but one u install everything you need, it can run perfect. The servers have maintance and sometimes you can't even get your account back!
I give like a 7/10

byethost is all right but its not great. i would rather something cheaper than that like trap17(which is free) or freehostia which is $10 a year. that is nothing for a whole year of hosting for $10. a lot of these hosting services are becoming trash. they are making things more expensive and taking away some good features. but there are still good hosts out there like trap17.

I think byethost is not so bad. The only bad thing is their sites are so slow. This is my site with byet host. http://yemektarifleri1.net/ You can see how slow it is. If you want to be in a good position in search engines your site must be fast.

You used too much graphical things (pics, javascript to load images etc). Try to reduce it or host your pictures at another site, maybe that'll help. You can also check your sql usage. Maybe some of them is slow.

I used it and it wasn't worth it. If you ever use an upload program, like a mod for IPB, you can't and the site is so slow that I actually just left my account. I'd never recommend anyone Byethost. About FTP, from two/two weeks, I couldn't get in because it didn't even connect.
