It wasn't. It was still slow and some stuff wouldn't just load properly, I'm sorry but I didn't like it.

Byethost is fast enough for me but is inconsistent. Sometimes I cannot connect to the host via web or ftp for 1-2minutes, at least 5 times a day. I really hope this problem is not persistent. In addition, even though its maxmium capacity is 5GB, but the maximum db size is 50MB...damn small.

I am coming up to my 2nd year as a Premium Client, and it can't end soon enough. I have been victim to extended downtimes, and usually at the worst times, complete data loss (seriously - everything... GONE) and inappropriate site redirection (Porn site anyone?) while they fumbled with their hardware. I've lost clients, and never an official apology. I dread seeking support, as I know I'll get some cookie cutter answer that doesn't even remotely relate to my question. Their forums are at least amusing, but be careful, else you be gagged if you complain too much, or shed some truth to how awful the service is. (Ever wonder why there's no bad reviews on their forum? Mmmm, makes you wonder.) What once was, is sadly no longer. Go elsewhere, anywhere, but run as far away as you can from Byethost (and stay away from their little resellers too - it's even worse!)

The bad thing about their free hosting (I shouldnt complain, but) is the slowness of the servers and the many limitations they place on their hosting plans.

byethost sucks!Byethost

A couple of days ago, I decided to host my web site with byethost and that has to be the worst mistake I've made this year. Byethost redirected most of my pages to some dubious social networking site called mybookface.Net and broke my blog. Now I have to get hosting somewhere else and while I wait for the DNS to propagate, anyone who tries to go to my site will be redirected to mybookface. That's just disgusting.

DO NOT sign up for byethost, you'll definitely regret it.

I'm currently using them for one of my sites but honnestly i'm a little dissapointed on the speed the site loads... it takes more then 3,4,5 seconds / link which is just not good enough compared tot he competition.
Other then that great free hosting site , alot of space..more then enough for anything , large bandwidth ...all good except for the first problem.
