no matter what you like sports or not,you must have noticed the great sport brands Nike and adidas. they are infiltrating through our life day by day.we like them for their quality and spirit.however, they are the competitor after all...in past time they competet badly ,u know.

how do you think them in future, especially in market...and talk about which one do you like best.

Adidas, because nike is over-priced and heavily advertised.

The cost are all passed on to the consumer.

umm, same to me...usually i buy adidas product more than nike.for all nike is expensive, but the quality is better than other brand like adidas or reebok in fact.i don't like the recent nike advertisement acted by nba player James, which is extrem against chinese archaic culture.especially the dragon the symbol of China and a Taoist who roots in Archaian China in the ad...lots of chinese yas oppose to the advertisement consumingly when it played on TV.

Meh, I don't really care, what ever the hell I see first I buy. I don't seem to have any nike clothes. I tend to feel like an idiot if I walk around with "BRAND NAME" labeled on the clothes, it's really ****** stupid. It's like a hi-tech version of walking around with a bill board on you.

Though, I suppose, people use the brandname to make themselves look "cooler" by wearing the clothes that other wear.

dude, I had some bad experiences with adidas.

Back a few years they had the "feet-you-wear" style basketball shoes. I had a pair, the sole cracked from the middle. Replaced them, happened again, by then I had a pair of Nike (which I believe I still have)

however, my latest shoes are once again Adidas. Adidas is superior in most aspects except basketball shoes, for those Nike rules...

For soccer wear for example, Nike doesn't even exist, the competiton is mainly between Puma and Adidas.

umm, nike is mots active in Amerian area in soccer field and does very well than other competitors.in Europe, where belongs to adidas, puma, umbo or lotto...maybe,but the force of nike is extending all over the earth times and times, faster than other old brands.er, usually which soccer wear i bought is adidas, especially frock, feels rather comfortable, and the price is moderate by us alien college student.

Hey man,you gto me with this topic. It was because of Nike-Air Jordan mostly that I decided to study Economics-Markeing,so I could work for Jordan Brand on day.Nothing, really nothing can compare to Nike.Adidas is very boring company, there is no life in their products.Nike on the opposite is modern, and has courage to break new grounds.Air Jordan is the best example for this.

Actually I'm not into brands so much.. I don't care if it's adidas or nike or something else. I have some things from adidas, some from nike.
They are holding on good, with good quality but so do others.
I first look at the design, price and then I'll buy it if it's good and not very expensive. I don't buy only adidas or nike..
But I like adidas more, I have more adidas things and they're good...

I probably prefer NIKE... Because I think the style of the product is really funky and fresh where as adidas, to me, is just classic and a bit old fashioned. I reckon they are the same price but it often depends on where you buy the stuff from. To me Nike is pretty cheap but I guess others don't think so.

Sometimes I buy adidas trainers for things that are dirty etc... like I'd go and play in mud with my adidas trainers and get them muffed without caring and then wear the Nikes out clean and in style... lol

 ,hey...what you said reflected the real.anyhow nike or adidas,we as a college student without any wage is not supposed to seek famous brand.right?we should notice usual brand which is fairly good in quality and style actually.the life is more polychrome set off by good things, not resting with its name famous or unknown...it is just what we should seek :)

l like adidas more, its design is simple and elegant while nike's design is not what I prefer, although they are good also.
Nike is for girls, adidas is for boys and men.
but Nike's ACG shoes (All Condition Gear) are really good.
and both of them are made in China.

Being a heavy competitive runner, I seem to like my shoes. Adidas makes about the worst running shoe I have ever felt. Same with reebok. Nike's shoes, while comfortable, fall apart rather quickly. So, I don't use any of the above. Generally, I stick to New Balance and Asics. NB have decent feel, and great durability. Asics....well they are my competition shoe . They are simply the best running show I have ever used.

I agree New Balance makes a great running shoe and it is priced well. That is what I have now. I like the NIKI Air Pegasus too. I forget what the best running shoe I had was. Maybe it was a Reebok. Anyway the best way to find the best running shoe is try them on. Notice the weight, the cushioning and the spring it gives to your stride. Never be too pound to take a few jogging strides in a sports store.

And about your price of 120$ being extremely high. :D
Price in Serbia for Jordans is about 280$,which is slightly above average salary in our country. :) :)

I prefer Adidas, 'cause I like the design... Nike are just... to spakly, and fancy... And besides, here in Yu, Adidas is almost 35% cheaper than Nike, and 80% of better quality...

Besides, I want my shoe to be elegant, and not the first thing people notice on me... But, it seems to me that there is less and less of shoes like that, everyone goes for that outhere futuristic look, wich I find rather tacky

Actaully, I don't see the difference... except I've heard people say something about Nike with child labour or something like that. Anyways, it's all the same type of clothing so why choose when you can just pick? (Does that actually make any sense?) I prefer adidas however, because their logo is more creative than Nike. I mean a CHECKMARK? Come on!

The black spot sneaker is an interesting "anti-brand". This is designed to be a shoe that stands for everything Nike doesn't but should.
From the company web site:

From [url said:

http://www.adbusters...eaker/home.html[/url]]Made from organic hemp in a Portuguese union shop, everything about the Blackspot, from its red toe tip and hand-drawn anti logo to its renegade billboards and TV ads, is designed to kick Phil Knight’s [derriere]. We’re aiming to cut into his market share, unswoosh his swoosh and give birth to a new kind of cool in the sneaker industry.

Worth at least a quick read.
