Depression does affect every person at one point in life. But I believe with time we can also get over it. Though it might be difficult but it is not impossible unless we give up on trying to overcome it.

Naturally, anyone who is normally depressed cannot concentrate in studies. Its all because the orientation of our thought is scattered, its not concentrated. so instead of making a deep analysis with this topic, its always better to go for a solution. As far as I know, many people got recovered from major problems by practicing meditation, which is actually a scientific solution for your issues related to depression. So I would say, that you see for any good meditation classes in the nearby area and try to practice in your life to help with your depression :) . Be happy.
