There are host companies which live...One of my favorite is www.110mb.com and 000webhosts.com :P But new users aren't welcome :P because there are very much users which are hosted for free, and there is not space for that ones which bought bigger plan.So stupid websites are deleted from the start. That is why i support non-free web hosts like this,trap17.If host haven't budget how they will allow free users to use servers,so they need to get money from people want bigger hosting solution.

Trap17 and astahost falls in post2host category. There are many other hosts in this category as well. Some like hostwoot, meekhost, hosthelpers, etc. There are plenty more and they require you to post monthly 10-30 posts for the packages. In return they offer huge space and bandwidth. Some of the hosts i mentioned are good. While some of them run on donations so expect downtime.

Since 2008 post2host concept on internet is really booming. People are coming with various ideas to grab traffic on forum and in return giving free hosting and domains. Many failed but some still survive. ATBhost which was on this theme, closed on 6th oct. 2009. So i expect there is some more coming in for downside as economy is not improved.

You have a good host and I would say it achievable host , the computinghost. But sometime ago I had a site of mine hosted on freehostia, no cpanel, no mail function. It was really bad. we must admit free hosts suck.

I guess with any host you get what you pay for, if you dont pay anything the host doesn't really need to keep you on their servers. But if you invest some time into your host they repay the favor with better hosting features. I was personally never bothered by the lack of sendmail and mysqls since i never used those things anyway, my website uses only basic scripting.

The sendmail and SQL is what made me try out Trap17 to begin with. Actually what happened was I ditched Trap for quite a while (the userbase was a lot smaller and so there was less information on forums to make me stick around) and went to another host as I was doing flat-file systems.

I came back to Trap because I needed the SQL and sendmail for my forums... And most hosts don't allow that at all. Trap did so I came here for the ability to host my forums.

As the site grew and more users started coming the amount of knowledge and social interaction increased. As such, I now hang around not due to the need for hosting, but due to the wealth of new information I can obtain.

I think people's biggest issue with this site is they don't come here for the interaction - they come here in hopes of just earning their hosting and then going inactive. Doing that turns the posting into a job. And with how many posts it takes you * how much time it takes you to make said posts, you would make a lot more money selling lemonade at a stand somewhere. People need to be coming here because they want to, not because they feel obligated to.

I would have to say that www.ismywebsite.com is the best.. they don't use any type of automated systems and when you ask for support its an actual person talking to you.

How much free space is available ? And for how many years they are alive on internet. And can you redirect us to some of the plans they offer which you think makes them best. Also i don't call 100 MB free type host the best one. We're getting more than 512MB for some free hosts. This is 2009 so the requirements for free hosting space and bandwidth is more and i don't think people settle for such low space these days.

Dear friends even I have used many of them and disappointed with their services either all or some. But Trap17 was my right choice and after hosted with them I never tried for any thing else. What they offer is ultimate and when it comes to the posts you can learn a lot with them also. So Trap17 rocks according to me.

Hello friends,

I tried www.000webhost.com some time ago, n believe me their server was heavily down, even you can't access ftp (you will get error every time), and If you fail to upload your site within fews days they will cancel your account.

If you looking for free host, go for zymichost.com or byethost.com (even you can try "x10hosting.com" but you have to open their forum once a months)

I like to say don't choose free hosting, they can delete your account without any warning. Even there are no suppert provided by free hosting company. Server may down and you have no right to do anything because its free.

how to prevent your data from free hosting company downtime.

1> always takes backups on weekly basis on your computer.
2> don't move your dns to free hosting, point with AName record.
3> don't use email provided by free hosting company, always use google applacation service to use you@yourdomain.com

-thanks
