I remeber reading a post here that mentioned something like converting a .blogspot.com account into a .com domain but now I spent 45 minutes looking for the thread and I'm failing to find it. Does anyone remember the thread or the site that the guy was pointing us to? Please help!

kudmus, if you would like to point your domain name to your Blogspot page, then the settings are given in the Control Panel area of your Blogspot homepage (under 'Publishing')
I think it's like this:
Go to your domain name control panel. Create a CNAME Record for ghs.google.com to point to the root directory of your domain name.
and in your Blogspot dashboard under 'Publishing', mention your custom url as your own domain name.
It will take a few hours to update the DNS record over the Net.
i.e. your page will remain on Google servers, but it will have an actual domain name.
Alternatively, if you would like your blog on your hosted account, I guess you'll have to use Fantastico in your CPanel to install Wordpress/B2Evolution/Nucleus as the blogging software (and import your blog content from Blogspot).

This is a quick and simple task. I see that you are currently hosted on Trap 17, so a quick and fuss free option will be to host the Blogger on your hosting account, or purchase a .com domain from Blogger. To purchase, all you will need to do is log on to the Blogger site, dashboard, then manage, settings, publishing, custom domain.
If you would like to host it yourself, from where I left off with the instructions, click switch to advanced settings If you want to publish to an external FTP server, you will need to Set 'Blog Readers' to 'Anybody' and use a Classic Template. Fill up the FTP form and install it to your, asumingly, Trap 17 hosting. More info at http://help.blogger....py?answer=55373
