This lovely simple tutorial will tell you how to extract the audio from YouTube videos. Obviously, I am not in any way advocating that you take copyrighted music that is available illegally in video-form on YouTube and extract the audio from those videos rather than going down to HMV and buying the music.
In this tutorial I will be using the following video:

Firstly, you download the video, which is simple. Just go to www.downloadyoutubevideos.com and paste the video URL into the text box. Follow the instructions and save the file as myvid.flv. Now you have a relatively useless .flv file, from which you will extract the audio. To do this, you will need a truly amazing program called AOA Audio Extractor. Just run the file through the program and it will produce an MP3.
