Internet discussion forums seems abuzz with talk that Nostradamus forecast the attack on the World Trade Center in New York. Thousands of people have received e-mails from known/unknown sources containing this prophecy, often with a second part forecasting that the attack on the twin towers will mark the beginning of World War III. Several versions are doing the rounds. This is one of many:

In the year of the new century and nine months,
from the sky will come a great king of terror...
the sky will burn at forty-ive degree.
fire approaches the great new city...

In the city of york there will be a great collapse,
2 twin brothers torn apart by chaos
while the fortress falls the great leader will succumb
third big war will begin when the city is burning.

The author of the first link came up with the following conclusions :

--2001 is the first year of the new century and this is the 9th month.

--New York is located at the 41st degree Latitude.

--Nostradamus also said that this would be the third World War and it would be bigger than the last two wars.

The author wrapped-up his posting by uttering his anxiety - "I hope he is wrong, but judging from his predictions of Hitler, Napoleon, and Pearl Harbor...."

Now buddies whats your opinion about this theory ? let me know

ohk .... I think this is all pre planned .. You read some guys theory and make it happen ppl will think otherwise ..

just kidding.. Nostradamus was a great guy.. I've heard his theories .. never read them actually ( I am too lazy to read stuff) but as far as I remember he has also put up something on the End of the World theory .. I think its better if we discuss that instead of World War III..

Because by the looks of it.. I mean whats happening all around the world. . WWIII is unavoidable ..


one more thing.. All of Nostradamus' work was based on Astrology and movement of stars .. I've never seen that theory go wrong.. NEVER

yes all pre planned. just like everything we do in life. As dor his predections? Im not going there because as I just said all pre planned. just like the aztec calender. says Dec 22 2012. now there some numbers for you to pounder with.

you have your 0's and 1's for Binary numbers and you have the Even number of 2. I will bet you someone out there will look at these numbers and come up with something that Nostadamas may have said someplace.

I sometimes find Nostradamus a bit scary.The way I see it though,
there have been millions of people making predictions about our future and
it's ineviitable one of them would have been more right than others more often.
One could say it just happened to be Nostradamus.Looking at it this way one
could put his predictions down to coincidence.

One can also re-assess the past as well.I mean,wasn't the war of 1812
a world war?The first world war?I think it was if you really think about it.
It involved Britain,Europe,Russia,the U.s.a and Canada.
That would make the next world war ww 4 and not ww 3.
If that's the case then Nostradames and his predictions
would be wrong anyway.

Nostradamus thought a lot about stars and positions. But do you think universe is limited to our solar system and the life on earth? Absolutely not.

So if any random person like Nostradamus starts to predict some random events based on available varialbles of our solar system and predicts some thing succesfully. Do you think he will be accurate forever? No, i dont\' think so.I don\'t beleive in holy books written by humans (and claimed to be written by gods or guided to written by gods, Why?You know what is going on these days in the name of those books) So like those books, even predictions of Nostradamus are also random things. So don\'t believe in every prediction of nostradamus.

I have read many people, with their predictions. I just compare, all their works with the prose, never direct and open to interpretation you would like to. If they were so evident about what is going to happen, they could have written direct words, but it has never been the case. Predictions are always done indirectly in a manner so as to confuse the reader and create a feeling of righteousness.
I also have intution in the future war is going to happen, that does not make me a predictor or future reader. I see lot of coincidence in what they write, undobtedly but better- it just be left to interpretation of man. With the world order changing so fast and new and new things coming across, I have read about many wars which should have already happened, but they did not. Let us see if 2012 there emerges something or it is just the bust!

I've read about this as well. According to Nostradamus, in 2006 the muslims will start hiding into the caves, they'll start preparing weapons and all, and some of them will even make a nuclear bomb. The World War III will start in November 2010. The nuclear bomb is going to DESTROY the mediterranean!
Tousands will suffer, millions will die, 'thanks' to the nuclear bomb, and Europe is going to be 'running' by the muslims(people with islamistic religion). What I think, there are two options:

1. People are just trying to get attention, or visits to their sites and blogs. They want to earn money by getting other worried 'by death'. That;s insensitive, and if there are not any of those predictions written by Nostradamus, if people just invented it, those sites and blogs should be banned and closed.

2. This was really written by Nostradamus, and it might happen. Well, in that case, we better get ready for it. I sure don't want my life to end because of someone's 'understanding of the world'. That doesn't makes any sense! Killing so many is not gonna solve anything, it's just gonna make the world go a few steps backwards. Women won't go to school(according to their believing, they are not allowed to study), there are going to be imperialistic wars again, the world is gonna be a whole big mess, and millions will suffer. Nations will die, cultures will die, dreams will die. No one should apologise of their way of life, if they are not doing something wrong. Trying to make it better or their people(for me, we are all one, there are no our, your or their people(you get the picturre)), they are just gonna make everybody suffer and die.
Maybe I'm getting a little off the subject, but I think that it's better for everyone if things stay as they are, and people once forget about killing and making other people suffer. People are the only 'sort' in the world who actually kill each other because of nothing-at least nothing real. We don't know if there's 'someone' up in the sky watching us, we don't know is there paradise or hell, we can only guess. So is anything worth of risking yours or someone else's life?

never read or heard of a november 2010 WWIII myself, and all out nuke war would not distory the earth just mandkind I think. What I have head and read, is that the Earth will be distroyed. I guess the key would or words are Earth and Distoyed. We know by the bible it will not be distoyed by flood. and some say by fire. So using nukes would be Fire. yet to destory? No. Maybe by an Astroid? That is how I see it. WWII would kill millions but not everyone on earth. The way that I understand it, everyone will parrish.

Yeah, that's true. But haven't man kind already learned enough, and that making wars and fighting against the ones from your(or any) kind is useless? Now I do agree that some nations want to be so much in charge and maybe even hurt others' religions and rights, but people have separate opinions. And war is mostly a fight against two people with different opinions. Now, I don't remember that Nostradamus said anything about the end of the world, he said that there is gonna be a World War III, and it's going to kill millions, millions of people. The end of his predictions says that human kind will leave the Earth behind(somewhere around 2700s), and extrude their life in other galaxies. Do I see the end of the human as the Earth being burned out of an asteroid? No, I don't. Maybe Armageddon will never come.

I agree. You can see many people opposed LHC experiment by giving reference to some Mayan calendar and to those scientist who opposed atom smasher experiments in past. I know many people oppose science experiments by giving reference to some philosophical things etc. I agree that these sites should be banned. What's the point in spreading rumors like "Qayamat- the Judgment day" . If these people can't comprehend something all they can do is spread rumors based on something they know or by taking reference of something which is hard to trace. Like saying "some scientist in overseas country found out that eating chocolate increases your life". these type of chatters make world panic and are responsible for chaos arround the world.

as was mentioned earlier and is widely associated with this topic, the mayan calendar is predicted to end at some forementioned time by nostradamus. I might interject here: it is the ending of a calendar, example: the calendar in  my kitchen, when it ends the world doesnt end. I either flip it over or get another. I think thats the general idea the mayans had, just keep flippin' the calendar. Also I first began reading about nostradamus ww3 predictions about an hour ago. They scared the hell out of me. Then rationality kicked in and I questioned them, and in the end, its all down to how you interpret them, as forementioned the twin towers scenario could relate to anyone, it could even be the story of blood brothers for crying out loud! (a little creative freedom their granted) but I believe he was either a clever man by making them vague so in the end he was going to be right or he was an idiot who thought he could predict the future. I do not believe in fate hence I don't not believe this, what I do believe is yes the world will probably have a ww3 scenario, presumably involving russia, america and china and their allies and majority of humans will probably die. It will probably occur around 2050s when majority of the east has developed nuclear weapons and it becomes the war against the west (opposite of war on terror, their perspective) everyone trying to protect their cultures and beliefs by blowing each other up (I'm not sure when in their heads this comes a good idea(yes to save the world...I must destroy it!))...Look I made a prediction! I bet it comes being close to true! but until then I'm going to enjoy life and not worry to much about the end of the world, focus on the here and now and be happy. I'll worry about being fire when I am fire.

Revelation 13: China and North Korea -- the Red Dragon in the Book of Revelation -- A Bible prophecy and New Age analysisHere I will show why a series of events called the End Time events, described in the Bible's Book of Revelation are now occurring, and why an evil dictator called the Antichrist will likely rise to power in Russia, and that this Russian dictator will I think enter into an evil alliance against the West with the Red Dragon, China, and also Iran.We will consider here Biblical prophecy, in particular the new testament Book of Revelation, and the old testament Book of Daniel. The Book of Revelation has prophecies of future world events, in particular the rise to power of an evil dictator called the Beast or the Antichrist, he is in Revelation Chapter 13. And the "seat" may be referring to Russia geographically sitting on top of China.The Old Testament Book of Daniel's prophecies help explain the Book of Revelation's prophecies in Revelation 13. In chapter 7 of the Book of Daniel, Daniel saw a vision of 4 beasts rising out of the sea, representing future empires to come. The first beast was like a lion, and had a man's heart. The second beast was a bear with three ribs in its mouth. The third beast was a leopard with wings and 4 heads. The fourth beast had iron teeth and 10 horns, one of which was a man that spoke great things. These are believed the represent the Babylonian empire (the lion), Medo-Persian empire (the bear), and Greek empire of Alexander (the leopard-- Alexander had the speed of a leopard during military conquest), and the Roman empire (with iron teeth). It is also believed that the final empire may be talking about the Antichrist -- the man who speaks great things. Note that these beasts are combined into the 10-horned beast of Revelation 13, which has the mouth of a lion, feet of a bear, the speed of a leopard, and 10 horns representing a confederation of 10 states. This could be Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States, evolving into this angry beast, or the SCO miltary organization consisting of Russia, China, and four Central Asian countries, that Iran could join in the future. This may mean that there will be an increasingly close military alliance between Russia and China, because the beast gets its power from the dragon, which would be Red China. Note that Russia is selling some of its best military weapons to China, including ships, submarines, radar systems, and jet planes, and Russia is also selling nuclear power plants and missles to Iran.And in Revelation 16, the River Euphrates in Iraq is dried up so that the army of the King of the East (China?) can cross it to the Battle of Armageddon. It is interesting that a severe drought was drying up the River Euphrates in 1999, this was the worst drought in Iraq in his century, and also Turkey is building dams upstream which could dry up this river, so this is another sign that Armageddon is approaching.Revelation 16:12 "And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water therof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared."Also referring to the dragon is Revelation 12:3:"And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon..." 12:9 "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent...He was cast out into earth, and his angels were cast out with him."In Revelation 12 the red dragon is referring to Satan, but may also be referring to China, North Korea, and/or Russia. I saw that movie, and all I can say that it's full of crap, 99% of things are just crap, I even laughed when watching, I just will say no comment on this, it's all just crap, I think that movies like that should be banned or changed to a status of a fairytale.

Hmm like the myans now they say the world is going to end blah blah blah ok now their civilzation died out in like 940ad so maybe they didn't get around to finishing it. Because the world was suppose to end like 10 + times now haha.And as far as religion the bible says the lord won't destroy the earth anymore or something along those lines genesis 8:21...Adn for those who are religious and still believe these predictions are in the wrong also because the bible says not to study astrology or somethin like that. Basically when it comes down to it just live do what you do everyday my b-day is the 22nd of december and I will be out on the 21st partying and I guess I will see if I make it back hahahaha.So please people if a guru or whatever they are called or just a feeling in your heart is telling to to quit your job and live your life DON'T go to work have a family do it that way cuz if the world doesn't end and people realize they screw up their lives they will be pissed so don't stress anything and quit believing everything u hear or see because its on tv

With how we humans are right now, it doesn't need Nostradamus to predict another World War III.

When a new power rises (China), the old powers (US and Europe) will most definitely be on the look out. We've seen it since ancient times, rise of Egypt, Greece, Romans, England, France, Soviet, US, etc. Each of these world powers need to show their forces and what better way than war. Now that China has risen to something beyond the West's control, there ought to be another way in a few months, years or decades. It may be one of the many reasons why US and its allies have to leave Iraq. To quench tensions. And also why China recently strengthen its ties with North Korea.

Anyway, war is inevitable. It's just sad countries where the battle will be fought won't be within the powers' territories. Some poor countries will be the battlefield and they'll have to suffer.

The war may come as early as this year as Nostradamus may have predicted or as late as many years to come. We'll never know but somehow, it has to come. The ultimate war between communism and democracy? Sad but could be true.

I'm quite scared, about how he is always right..

I sometimes get confused with it, and sometimes get told hes just a fraud.
But really, what do I REALLY think about it? I actually think he is right. I predict that his predictions will be correct, and i'm afraid. Nobody knows if he might be right about WWIII but... you know, his past predictions could all be a coincidence.
All of them.

But still, he said there will be a war between N.Korea and S.Korea, and maybe it will happen, since there has already been a fight between them in November, where N.Korea started firing artillery at YonPyongDo of South Korea.
