I was really amazed by the pagerank software for measuring the importance of a page....solving 500 million variables and billion terms and everything else within milliseconds....great work....

I am not sure, but the pagerank software has been developed by Larry Page.

Thanks, very interesting. I believe the search may be based on a B Tree search which could branch by a factor of a 1000 for each node.
