Hi,

Recently we have discussed among ourselves whether it's possible to run our bot on Qupis servers.

Bot: Is a piece of program written usually in Python which uses telnet to connect to Free Internet Chess Server (FICS) and announces tournaments, saves results, and executes some commands on the remote FICS server.

Qupis supports Perl, which means that by not that much difficulty it can run Python scripts as well. But we don't know how to do it!

Of course it is possible to use backtracks inside PHP code to execute Linux shell commands in a PHP page but that is not a good way to do it.

So I'm looking for a way to run my bot on Qupis if possible.

Another question that may not be related to this topic is whether I am allowed to do so. For sure, the bot does not uses much resources on the server but I'm still confused about the issue.

I appreciate any help.
