I am a big runner, and I am interested in buying a GPS watch. I heard that the Garmin Forerunner series GPS's were the best, but that the latest one (the 405 which is the only one with a watch included) was bad. The only other option is Polar, but those are very expensive. Does anyone know where you can buy a polar GPS watch more cheaply? What are people's thoughts on the Forerunner 305 vs. 405?

I believe watches are now going out of date. Except the fashionable dress ones.
I'm not big on this subject but I do know my coach uses her phone when we go for endurance runs. So maby you can have a look at them. Almost all phones now days have GPS so I'm sure you can download a free application for this which should save you packet...
If I come accross something I'll post it.
Hope I've pointed you in the right direction
